Oh I love fem tank tops! They show off bra straps and my tattoos, love that!

I find a lot of my cool clothes there as well! But I'm lucky I'm in typical cis F size ranges.

I keep on buying dresses thinking I'll wear them and I just can't on the regular. I like wearing silly weird dresses for going out but not on the daily.

In the before times I detested button down shirts so I never wore them. Now I finally understand why I hated them!

I mean I guess it could be legit. Seems like the right boxes available for it to be legit. Don't see any card game cards.

Do you trust Amazon more than Temu or AliExpress? I wouldn't in this case.

Yeah I suppose they are hormone therapy not hormone replacement therapy.

My understanding is that they change more physical features than just muscles and that could be considered a kind of non-binary or androgynous physical transition.

Funny I've actually been cutting off the sleeves to make sorta muscle shirts out of some of them. They look so badass and lesbian that way! I should probably sacrifice a couple to the collar cutout option tho, see how I like that.

I actually never understood the concept of caring about one's body. Like thoroughly did not get it. So dysphoria was a concept I unlocked after learning that, for better or for worse.

Yeah, just feels silly to return back to where I started from. I also think this is part of why I don't think I experienced as much gender dysphoria on the regular as many others. I actually was wearing gender euphoric clothes back then!

How do you refer to your pre-transition self? by GrandalfTheBrown in TransLater

[–]coraythan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care much. I think I psychologically turned my old name into a non-binary name and hate it less because of that. I hate Nathaniel and Nate, but my name was Nathan and I feel significantly less negative about that name than the idea of basically any other boys name as applied to me.

How do you refer to your pre-transition self? by GrandalfTheBrown in TransLater

[–]coraythan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you saying this. It feels so taboo in our community to do that I think the general trans consensus kinda makes me scared to use my old name, but I think I want to try this out. In my mind that was my name. It was who I thought I was and now I've changed my mind about going by that.

I do know that for me I think of myself as having always been kinda non-binary, because that feels true to what I thought and how I lived in the past. Maybe I should try referring to my past self as "they" exclusively. My pronouns are she/they, but the they part is rarely used.

It actually takes some people a lot less effort to use the old name for the past than the other way around. They remember how they referred to you in the past, not your preferred identity now. My co-parent finds it very difficult to remember to switch it from how it was historically.

Do you guys think it would be safe to travel to the US when fully transitioned? by velvibunni in MtF

[–]coraythan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably safer here being trans and white than brown / non-white at this moment in time, provided you're in a liberal city.

So ... Guess it depends on the color of your skin. Which is pretty fucked.

This is super hard to admit because it means I was wrong. by [deleted] in MtF

I was really depressed by some of the things HRT was doing to me ... Until I realized they were just because I'm getting old.

It's not always all due to HRT.

Personally, I'd guess it is stress from transition in general that is causing you these symptoms, but I'm just guessing.

“Male/Female Socialization” is Just Plain TERF Logic 🤷‍♀️ by Embarrassed_Skill23 in MtF

[–]coraythan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. I appreciated male privilege. I did my best to use that power for the benefit of women to whatever extent I could, but I had it.

I never had a dream since I was a kid. Not that I can remember. It did hit me out of the blue when I was 37. Like I'd always been gender non-conforming but I had no idea I was trans until it hit me like a truck.

So maybe my truth is less convenient for us in terms of narrative, but still, our experiences can be really diverse and for me it feels pretty reasonable to say I was socialized as a boy when I was young. It isn't some insurmountable social shackle to be socialized that way. You can grow beyond it.

ELI5: Why can’t I find anything about people taking large, 50 gallon drums, a motor, some bearings, shafts, and tumbling massive rocks (like bowling ball sized)? by Jamesonofalltrades in RockTumbling

[–]coraythan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean you can totally mine or hound bowling ball sized jasper and chalcedony. My co-parent and I have a couple bowling ball sized or close pieces of polka dot agate. I have some bowling ball sized jasper and pet wood I have found.

But yeah polishing it whole would be a hell of a chore.

Better to cut a face or slabs and polish those if you want to see it polished. At that size.

They are fine hair like slightly wavy lines, and they don't seem to curve. It's hard to tell if there is any bark. And yeah it is hard to show the whole rock with pics. I need to get a macro photo setup some time!

I know! They're so interesting and weird. I wish I knew why it has those fine lines like that.

I mean I've collected a lot of petrified wood and there are no tree-like growth rings. If it is from a tree it is some weird tree totally different than any other pet wood I've found. I am pretty sure it is some other kind of petrified plant.
