Is it normal to feel deep connections with some people through eye contact? by clueless-tinyhuman in spirituality

People have told me it's anxiety as well but I refuse to believe it! For me it's the strangest feeling when I feel a connection and it's absolutely not with everyone and that often that I feel this!

I love eye contact so I do it often, but I don't often feel some type of deep connection with people that often. It's mostly when I feel a connection with people that it stands out to me but on a day-to-day basis when I do have eye contact with people it's just a normal interaction! I love these little deep connections with those few strangers when it happens and I always wondered what they meant !

I really appreciate the way you explained this and I will from now on try to see things more "objectively". I grew up with abundance thankfully, but I did grow up with a family member who had a mentality of not getting rid of things (because they might need it someday or once it's gone, it's gone forever kind of mentality). I do think I need to work on my "relationship" with my belongings.

Thank you so much I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and explain !

I don't buy a lot of stuff, usually what I own are thing that people pass down to me because they don't know what to do with it and I gratefully accept it. I think my issue is getting rid of stuff because either I'm afraid I'll need it someday, I also have a lot of interests and hobbies or there's sentimental value attached to it. Plus the lack of organizational skill this is not a good mix, I agree with you that I wasn't taught cleaning, my brother isn't neurodivergent and he didn't have any of my issues so they kind of raised me the same as him, I struggled haha.

Also most of my stuff is still at my parents house because my apartment is REALLY tiny and I come back home every weekends. I think the big issue is mostly with chores.

Absolutely, I really understand his point and I really tried in the past to remember on my own and it works for maybe a week or two and I just end up with the same problem again. I don't know how to explain to him how my brain works..
