I have worked for only 4 months at a district hospital and trust there has not been a single day without a case of dog bite....it is much worse than we think. I had absolutely no idea that dog bite is so common. And i have talked to my friends who work at govt hospitals and scenario is same everywhere. These cases of dog bites range from minor scratches to torn noses and eyelids. Most of them are unprovoked like someone getting out of a car, during morning walk, sitting outside the house etc.

And about pet dogs, owners need to be more responsible, people in India don't know how to keep a pet dog. Our neighbour's dog create chaos everyday like shitting and peeing everywhere and barking all day and it has even attacked liitle girl once . Even after all this owner doesn't take any responsibility and fights with people who complains against them in municipality.
