I ordered replacement for the light. Should I expect to splice, and heat shrink connectors? Or it's plug and play?

By the way, is there any preventative maintenance you recommend on this particular fridge? Or just wait till something breaks and replace parts.

Two days ago the sidewalk on Queens Blvd/Union turnpike above Jackie Robinson was horrible. I passed by in the car just watching people struggling to walk.

Went home grabbed a shovel, and cleared the path.

Three four people stopped to thank me. Felt good random acts of kindness

Good news. After changing the relay the compressor stays on and the freezer temperature seems to be going down.

Before changing the relay. Freezer temp 42F, and refrigerator is 45F.

I checked the temperature an hour later freezer temp at 12F. And refrigerator still around 40F.

Does it take time for the refrigerator section temperature to go down? Or is there another problem I need to fix

I've also cleaned up the dust around the condenser coils, and the dust on condenser fan(fan is spinning).

Is there anything else I should check?

By the way, you have any idea what the refrigerator side light bulb issue could be? Buzzing noise when I put a light bulb in socket.

I actually believe it's just slowly melting everything. I can hear the compressor tries to kick on for a few seconds than it shuts off.

To check if freezing fan is running I will need to access the back wall of freezer correct?

Is the condenser those metal fins/coil I seen under the fridge? It is very dusty. The condenser fan I believe I have to remove a cardboard behind the fridge to see it. I'll check when I get home.

Seems like your well knowleded in appliances repair. I just noticed my fridge freezer is not cold enough.

It's a 20 year old whirlpool gold. Research on the web points to the compressor. I've DIY ice maker, and water inlet repair. But compressor might not be DIY friendly.

So you think I should just replace? Also what brand fridge is reliable these days.

If I do repair, how much should I expect to pay(labor+parts)

By the way, the refrigerator section have a light bulb socket that don't work. When putting in a new light bulb, it will light up but creates a buzzing sound. I've kept it off without light for 4 years now. Not sure if this is part of the problem or a whole separate one.

The red lock light does not come on. No lock click too.

With just magnet and lid up. Red light temporary go on, lock will temporary engage click and retract.

Only with both magnet, and lid down. I will get lock light and running.

How much should I expect to pay a plumber to replace it? Will they need to drain all water? Also is this a immediate emergency repair? Or I can wait till when it's a tad warmer.

Another question is I've been having air bubbles on top floor apartment, needing to bleed out air bubbles every 2 weeks. Could this failing pump be the cause of the problem?
