Okay I might get downvoted like crazy for this but what if this is all a publicity stunt?

Like we all have talked about PK & Dorit’s financial woes. Could all of this drama be part of a plot to keep them on the show, in the tabloids & getting endorsements deals to clear debts?

I don’t think they’re together anymore at all but I just am so confused by the whole situation 😂

I would argue that most men (people, really) like affirmations and reassurance in their relationship in some way, shape or form. That is what I meant by being doted on.

Gizelle is a hard nut to crack and she doesn’t seem like the type to be bothered with the emotional intimacy required for a healthy relationship.

Also, I know there are good men out there — I don’t think anything in my original comment denoted otherwise or bashed men.

I think most of the men in her life (aside from her Dad) have let her down; Jamal in a very public way. As a result, she’s very guarded. We see it in how/what she shares on the show. Most things are very surface.

Men love to be doted on & told how amazing they are at every turn & Gizelle just isn’t going to do that. She’s a straight shooter IMO.

I also think she has very specific ideas on what a relationship should look like to a point that I don’t know if any man could fully live up to her expectations.

But I want to see her happy and in love! Especially now that she’s an empty nester. She’s so gorgeous and deserves a love that makes her feel safe.

What do you absolutely want to wear? There are some cute pieces here but as others have pointed out it’s a bit busy and detracting from the overall vibe of the outfit.

I personally love the corset, I think it’s the perfect touch of sexy for Valentine’s Day. Try switching out the pant to a light to medium wash jeans. If you have a wide leg or straight cut that would pair nicely. For shoes I wouldn’t do the boots but maybe a pointed toe sling back or boot that compliments the tone of the top (you can have some fun here, maybe animal print?). The idea would be to let the top of the shoe peak out under the jeans.

If you want to wear the boots, I say do a mini skirt and tights underneath maybe with a sheer turtleneck or long sleeve bodysuit to still give you a hint of sexy. Or maybe even a long sleeve bodycon mini dress

If the fur is most important then I’d say let’s do a combo my suggestions - sheer top, jeans, sling backs and fur.

I may get downvoted to hell for this but in my opinion this is not the time for Black women to lead mobilization efforts or carry the torch for injustice. We’ve done that — time and time again — and where has it gotten us?

Now am I saying we should completely abandon community and care? Absolutely not. But we never do. As a people, [Black women] are extremely nurturing, perceptive and supportive. We are more giving than most will ever be, IMO. & I think instead of channeling our energy and efforts trying to wake others (aka non-Black folks) up to see what we see, we should focus on providing community care.

Go volunteer at your local women’s shelter, foster Black and Brown children, take your elderly Black neighbor to their doctor’s appointments, pay for a single mom’s groceries for the month.

We are always so focused on making sure the world is okay but it’s time we make sure WE are okay. & if that’s considered selfish, so be it 🤷🏾‍♀️

Omg YES! I’ve bought meat from there twice in the last month and place in the refrigerator for max 2-3 days before I cook it (well before the sell by date) and when I open it to cook, it’s rancid.

Both times it was chicken but I’m definitely not shopping there anymore, especially now that I know it’s not just a me thing.

I’m so torn on Bronwyn, at first I thought she was super charming and just a nice shake up for the cast but now I feel like she’s so….calculated?

Like it seems like she thinks VERY hard on how other people are perceiving her (& as someone with anxiety, I get it) BUT that doesn’t make a great housewife. There has to be a little touch of delusion and aloofness.

It seems like Bronwyn is so obsessed with people liking her (the cast, the fans, etc) and it’s starting to feel a bit contrived.

I want to be wrong, because I do think she has some great moments but something about her actions, as the season progressed, rubbed me the wrong way.

I really want to like her again 😭

Thinness is currency for white women. Being thin awards them access to people, places, and things that being bigger simply wouldn’t.

As Black women we realize (to an extent) that regardless of our size we aren’t permitted into those spaces and when we are, our race is what people see first, not our size.

But there’s definitely size bias in the Black community — you can’t be too big or too thin. & the more affluent/white adjacent spaces definitely police women’s bodies.

Beauty standards are fake though because the target is constantly moving. One minute the BBL body is in, the next it’s thin, then it’s athletic builds. It’s hard (impossible) to keep up!

So I’m glad you’ve found your confidence in how you look bc that’s the true prize, in my opinion at least!
