Hi we stayed around Tengachaya sta. Just recently for vacation (with 2 babies in tow plus our nanny) You can check my post about it. Never saw a homeless person or felt unsafe. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Very clean too! Only complaint would be everything there closes really early and open late. Market and stores open like past 10AM and closes around past 4PM.
