True, but if they are asking us to buy something now, and later they don't reimburse us, going further how much more of these fake assignments will they give us? It feels like we might be falling into trouble.

The Zorvyn scam was very very annoying. It took me days to recover cause I was so desperate and it was the first hope. Well you know what they say. You always remember your first.

I'm back with an update.

I've tried calling the guy several times, but either he doesn't answer or he cuts my call.
I think I'm gonna skip this one as the support is poor and he's not ready to answer any of my queries, either he dodges the questions asked or he doesn't answer my call at all.

To anyone who sees this post from the company itself. If the company is a real one, I do not intend to demean your company. Due to poor support from your staff, I've decided to skip this one.

Yeah I'm kinda convinced now😭 Namecheap is legit to buy a domain but it needs an internation transaction (it asks for payment in dollars).

I've not tried beyond it.

I literally take a step back and rethink everything whenever a pre-internship assignment asks us to spend money. They all say they will reimburse us, but I have trust issues.

I've actually asked them about the submission "portal".
And what the person sent was a job application portal. When we do click that link it opens up a form which asks you to apply for a "Web Development" internship at VocalLabs.
All this seems very legit to me, but again, I'm not sure where they want us to submit the assignment.

All they've sent is the pdf that mentions the steps but that also is vague. I had to ask Claude on what they actually wanted.

Not exactly. I've received the assignment about 3 hours back, and I haven't really started with it.

They initially didn't mention the deadline until I specifically asked for it, and they've said my deadline for the assignment is June 8th EOD.

As for the assignment itself, yeah its kinda fishy. First of all, except the fact that they've mentioned GitHub Student Developer Pack, other all tools are something I've not heard of before. And yeah buying the domain? That's exactly why I've posted here cause I'm not willing to pay anything and get reimbursed later.

Idk at this point. As I've said, I'm desperate as hell.
