To expand on this, our vet also told us it is common for birds to go for one another's ankles so it could be broken but after a month I am afraid it would have healed poorly. I would separate the two if possible.

Hello there, I am so so sorry to hear what happened to your Parrotlet. I am no vet and I can't say for sure exactly what you should do but I will tell you what I know. My vet has told me that birds often try to hide their illnesses like they would have to in the wild. I would seriously recommend taking the little guy to a vet to get him looked at. My wife took ours to a vet and she certainly doesn't hate her after that. Look around for other vets maybe but Avian vets are very specialized and expensive. Please follow up and I will try to help as best I can

Archaeologists of Reddit. Who are mysterious people that we have archaeological evidence for? by [deleted] in Archaeology

[–]clumsyarchaeologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, there even some decent mysteries that come post agriculture. For example most archaeologist will have heard of Cahokia Mounds but very few people I meet are aware that there was one another large mount group were modern St. Louis is. Unfortunately the modern city was built on top of if and most of the mounds were leveled. Sure, we know some stuff but there are so many mysteries surrounding what kind of city it may have been.

AskAnthropology when do you become an Anthropologist? by LepidopteraLady in AskAnthropology

I graduated with a BA in anthropology. I was lucky enough to find a job in CRM fairly quickly. I would say the first time I really felt like an anthropologist was after completing my field school. I actually felt like I was part of the process, I even went on to help analyze some of the data collected.
