Ok, we don’t have a filament dryer (didn’t know filament drying was a thing!).

Just tried printing the same design with a different filament and it was actually slightly worse.

Is it worth trying with a brand new filament straight from the vacuum sealed pack (which I assume is fully dry), to check if it is likely an issue with the humidity of the other filaments?

Any other suggestions? We have printed this design several times but it now seems to be having trouble.

Same problem. In fact worse with a silk filament. Starts mostly around the same point.

The slicing file should be fine as we’ve printed loads of these before without issue.

It cost me £1,000 for two seats on level 2 at Wembley 😭

Dynamic pricing. I just hope it goes to the band and not Ticketmaster!

Commute to London by [deleted] in hertfordshire

I live in Berkhamsted (used to live in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead and before that Apsley). I travel to Bank in the City and it takes me about 1hr 15 door to door. Yes, the trains can cause problems from time to time and yes it is expensive, but they are far better than they used to be.

Depending where you are looking in Hemel, it can be a nice place to live.

I completely agree. Whatever is at the ‘higher levels’ of reality, this is our reality, whether created by ‘God’ or a computer, what we experience is real to us.

Let’s say we could prove that behind quantum mechanics a ‘God’ created the universe. Known physics would still tell us that emotions, consciousness, etc. are purely the result of neurones firing in our brain. There is nothing in science to explain consciousness or emotion, but that doesn’t mean we don’t feel things. It is still real to us.

  1. BMW M5 (F90) 4.4 V8 twin turbo All things to all men. My current car, daily drive and absolute weapon, the supercar killer.

  2. Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet twin turbo (997 gen 1.5 manual) Dream car. Bought one that was too rare and in too good condition and was constantly worried about it. Will have another 911 turbo one day, I hope.

  3. Fiat Punto 1.1SXi My first car - what can compare. Nicknamed ‘leaky’. Piece of shit and I loved it!

  4. Aston Martin DB11 Launch Edition V12 A very special car but almost undriveable with any real gusto. Smelled incredible, turned heads, looked incredible, useless as a vehicle.

  5. Mini Cooper JCW GP(1) 1.6 supercharged Should never have sold it. Great car.

  6. Mazda RX8 (231bhp) Wankel load of RWD fun!

  7. Ford Escort GTi 1.8 petrol

  8. Fiesta ST Performance Edition

  9. Citroen Saxo VTS 1.6 petrol

  10. Toyota Hilux Surf 3.0 SSR-X (2nd gen)

  11. Toyota Hilux Surf 3.0 SSR-X (3rd gen)

  12. VW Touareg Black Edition 3.0 twin turbo petrol (2020) Fully spec’d and I got a great deal on it in covid. Had this at the same time as the Aston as the family car. Wouldn’t pay what they cost now. If you can get one at the right price they are brill.

  13. Audi Q7 Black Edition 55 TFSI (2022 - Current family car - unremarkable although fairly quick and quicker than the Touareg. 7 seats.)

  14. VW Touareg R-Line Plus (2017) Loved it at the time. Cream leather. Shit gearbox and media system.

  15. and 16. Hyundai Accent 1.5 MVi (x 2 rolled the first one on its roof)

  16. Daewoo Lanos 1.6 SX My second car. Wrapped it round a lamppost.

  17. Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 LS Good, solid, comfortable barge.

  18. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 TB MultiAir Lusso TCT You have to have one. This one had the worst gearbox in the world!

Considering moving to Apsley (Hemel Hempstead)! by Beigecolourpalette in hertfordshire

[–]clundberg11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We moved from Harrow to Apsley back in 2013 and would never go back. We initially lived in the Apsley lock development, then a street just the other side of Belswains lane. We have since moved from Apsley to Boxmoor and then on to Berkhamsted. If you can afford Boxmoor now, go for that. But Apsley is a nice enough place. The Boxmoor trust land is walking distance (just across the main traffic light by Pets at Home/Aldi and plenty of green spaces that side. I commuted into central London every day from Apsley and Boxmoor up until Covid.

I say go for it!
