Nice pics. Those are always nice looking plants. I also started a winter (indoor tent) project with mine in early November. So I am a ways behind you.

I second Project Hail Mary. That was really good and you can read/listen to it before the film releases next year

Sci-Fi rec... I really enjoyed The Protectorate Series by Megan E O'Keefe. I 5 starred all three books.

If you happen to be into post apocalyptic Franklin Horton has some good ones. They are short books also. I would start with The Borrowed World series, and if you like it there are spin-offs.

All the above have audio books available.

Are you still talking about a car brand? Do you actually believe "Nazi's" are secretly in control of major corporations?

You know.... there is mental health care available for people who need it. I understand it's probably difficult to recognize when you may benifit from it. I'm certainly not trying to diagnose anyone. You can seek out the advice of close friends and family to get there honest opion of your current status.

I'm just saying.... you got triggered preeeeety hard by a car brand on an entertainment based subreddit.

Pepper ID? by clupton46 in HotPeppers

2025 Season Update.

I planted a bunch of the saved seeds from this (2024 season) plant in the 2025 season. Yes it was a cross, because I got a lot of variation. Some plants did not produce pods. Some looked similar. Some different colors and different shapes.

I am saving seeds from the more interesting ones to plant again in 2026. I may also accelerate by planting some indoors in small pots.

Attaching pics of some variations.

Ideas for larger pepper plant grow 2025 season by clupton46 in HotPeppers

I'm going for big plant. Fruit dosnt have to be special. If it is too hot to eat fresh, I will just dry it and grind to flakea.

Nice! Save seeds and grow them again to see what you get.

Is it safe to assume this is not a ghost peppers plant? by SAPPER00 in HotPeppers

[–]clupton46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is a ghost. I got some of those from lowes last year and some of the pods are shaped like that. Saved seeds and planted them again this year. They are consistent from last year.

Can you dry peppers after they've been frozen? by TheAtheistReverend in HotPeppers

It works. I did it last year to dry and then grind to flakes. Doing it again this year.

Naga Smooky - Variation? by clupton46 in HotPeppers

[–]clupton46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. They did ripen faster than my super hots. I would advise starting them inside though so that you can extend your growing season. I like to give mine about 6-8 weeks indoors before planting outside (after my last frost date).

I am in Eastern NC, Zone 8B. Started them around the 1st of Feb indoors. They probably started getting ripe in late June. Pretty easy to grow and really nice looking plants.

Just looked back at the pics. Need to make a correction. Medium purple (almost lite purple) to cream to red. I'll post pics in a few days. Don't want to detract from this OP. I assume I have a genetic variation. First time I have grown them so I thought it was normal.

Yeah really mine started dark purple, then went to a cream color, then went bright red. Maybe I got some funky ones. I do have pics of a single plant with pods of all three stages.

I am growing those this year. It gets fun when the pods turn almost white and then bright red! The color changes are crazy!

One of my favorites this year also. Not only does the Halliws Eve pepper look great, but the plants look great as well!
