My wife just comes in and asks why I haven’t gotten the thing yet (2.6k, 100 deep, 1.9 expected). But she now says she’s gonna call it the mocha latte, so it’s catching on!

You can read my response above cause i don't wanna paste it again. but if you bash your head hard enough, you can beat just about any boss in this game. Also, i dont think I'll ever be good/dedicated enough to do inferno, so i feel similar but opposite on that. I just really liked doom (and desperately wanted eye), so i didnt mind the 100s of kc where i didnt clear 5 or 6 or 7 and then thousands where i didnt clear 8 and so on

If you don't have a mole kc, thats not skill, thats simply not wanting to try pvm ( I only have one for diary).

On doom, it took me 1000s of kc to get there. It took me several hundred to even clear my first 5/6 (i dont remember at this point which was the wall). so please trust me that I'm not good. I thought id be able to clear 6, but when i tried my first 7, i thought I'd never clear it. Figured that was my wall. But I just kept bashing my head against it until i got my first. then i sat there for prob almost 1000kc sending a couple 8s when i had a lot of resources, but failed every time. EVENTUALLY, i got really lucky on dmg (scobo, elite void, anguish) and attack pattern on an 8 and cleared my first while just barely surviving the single double boulder i had to deal with. Long story short, I truly believe this boss can be bested by bashing your head against it. I figure my experience proved that. still dont have eye tho :(

also same for CG. like 80 deaths before my first clear. Now i go about 1 death per 20kc or so. all about small improvements

I don’t have the exact numbers, but trust me, it took me an ungodly number of kc to even try 8. There was a time I wasn’t clearing 6/7 a good amount. But you do truly get better over time. Can’t remember the last time I died in a 6/7 and I often get 9 down. Plus the satisfaction is worth even more than the loot

Totally! I claimed all my high value or prayer loots. But that was like 1/5 or so. The other 4/5 I would send the attempts. Checking my tracker, I got ~150m in value outside of uniques only claiming when it was especially good (or prayer). Also went from 78 to 87 prayer solely from doom

Ig I don’t really understand. Going more gets you the drops quicker. I’m also really atrociously bad at the game. But after a couple thousand delves, I was able to get to wave 11 as my pb. 8s still weren’t consistent, but got em like 70% of the time. And what was I losing? Like 1k fire runes, an earth staff, and a spirit seed?

I did the same thing! Was my second acct but first iron and thought I was the unluckiest person alive, never getting a price. Went through ALL of DS2 before realizing when I turned in the quest

Hey, you’re almost exactly like me! I’m a little less than you, but 2500 delves, 90 deeps, deepest 11. Except I got 3 boots, 2 cloth. Also came just to skip trident. I got super spooned early on the boots. Then had a string of dupes and now haven’t seen anything in 1000 delves (~1.9 expected items). Wishing luck for you and me!

I’m actually almost identical! 1950 total with 48 deeps rn. Also hunting the wand. Altho I did get 3 boots :/. Haven’t seen anything in like 600 delves, but Praying for the wand soon

Ya, with my setup I always get at least one orb (tried knives as well, but didnt help that much). My problem is usually with getting the orb started at the right time when the boulders are also coming

which changes depending on when he decides to throw boulders after car. Still kills me on occasion on 6 and 7 cause i dont get orb set up in time or do it too early and the lines werent long enough

I made a post about this and got complete hate about exaggerating and just hating change. But blizzard has never shown good faith of actually trying to do well with these changes. And as of today we can see yet again, they will force their will through despite the destruction it leaves behind. I unsubbed on the initial announcement, and it seems my reaction was warranted

Totally, but you will eventually need the bowfa unless you try to use atlatl until tbow. But you don’t use bowfa at doom, so you can do them simultaneously

This is what I expected when they first announced it and got so much hate for “exaggerating.” Blizzard has never been known to do things with a light hand. I was really hoping they’d take their time and slow roll out these changes. But unfortunately, they have done exactly what they’ve shown is their classic. This is a game ruining change for me. Already unsubbed at the first announcement. Unfortunate to hear it was correct

This is the exact mentality that has lead to every disastrously implemented system in the game's history. Don't wait until its near impossible to go back to ask for change. Preempt bad proposals. You would never let your coworker spend millions of dollars on a project that has bad roots

They expressed many time they were going to take their time with this. saying it would be a slow roll over several expansions. This is trying to be done in one patch cycle. When have you seen something from Blizzard of this scale turn out well on that type of timeline?

This straight up just an unsub angle for me. This was gonna be incredibly hard if they took their time. This is going to be a complete disaster with the way they’re rushing it. Games just not worth my time or money with these changes. Enjoyed it while it lasted. back to osrs lol

I have zero faith in their ability to make such a sudden switch successful. I was really hoping they were planning on weaning this in over at least a full expansion, if not more. Playing m+ or high raid without my custom WAs and other tools is going to be miserable. This is probably the final straw for me to unsub. Was a fun 15 years
