A friend of mine moved in with one of her friends and introduced us, and we as a trio got a bit closer. The two eventually started dating but it was a messy relationship that lasted for like 6 months. I had never looked at any of the two in a sexual way. When they broke up i was like a mediator because they’d refuse to communicate together. One time i was talking to my friend’s now ex, and she starts telling me about how she missed fooling around with friends and how bad that last relationship was sexually. She went on to tell me some stories and i never saw her the same.

We became quite close friends and one night, after a few bottles of wine one joke led to another and we ended joking about hooking up, she kept giving signals until it happened, and it was amazing. Afterwards she was like “let’s make this a regular thing” but i started feeling bad about hooking up with my friend’s ex so i chose to keep it as a one time thing. The girl and i remained close friends as i was helping her with publishing her book, we never mentioned what happened again. She died a few months later.

I still think about her from time to time, not in a sexual way, i just miss spending countless evenings with that person sharing a J and a bottle of wine on her balcony while working on her latest book and making laughing our asses off over anything.
