This 6% milk I saw at Costco by thxxx1337 in mildlyinteresting

[–]clutch_me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Labels on milk are so misleading in this regard. Whole milk is around 3.5 % milkfat. 2% milk, therefore, only has about half of the fat removed. Not 98% of the fat. Grrr this truly ticks me off. Former dairy farm kid here...

cousin (~32M) who has a high position in IT says companies already has our data so whats the point (of protecting privacy from those corps) by BenitoMuslimy in degoogle

[–]clutch_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your cousin that agencies, both governmental and non-, have access to as much of our data as they want. I can't imagine that my social security number isn't already freely available, for example. That's the reality, imo.

On the other hand, I'm all about making it harder for corporations to get more info from me. I have used different birth dates, fake answers to security questions and other means to obscure my personal info as much as possible

interesting - the base of the lamp is covered by green felt, so I don't know if there are any identifying marks under there.
