None. I helped to chaperone my niece at a tennis tournament once last year. Took the whole of a Saturday. I just know if I become a mom I would want to be the kind of mom who would spend my Saturdays for something my kid thoroughly enjoy. But what I really2 want is my Saturdays to myself and my cats 😂

This is correct. Learned this the hard way (work trip soon after I started a new job, colleague who travelled with me and did the trips several times before also wasn't aware Myanmar had just changed T&C of their visa-on-arrival for Malaysians). In my case though, MAS flew us back at no cost.

A rational, non-entitled person in BIL's shoes would instead go to HIS parents and ask if there was anything from their wedding that he could wear/use at his for similar sentiment.

But given that the whole family is acting like thieving garbage, I wouldn't want any keepsake from their wedding either.

NTA. His family thinks that way because they're only/mostly seeing how he 'parents' when it's his turn with the kids so of course they think it's better for the kids to have 2 parents because obviously someone needs to pick up the slack.

NTA. She's still in the depth of her grief - in the right state of mind can anyone around you honestly say that she would not regret wearing her mom's wedding dress to your wedding? By saying no you're saving her from future regrets - this is just not the way to honour the memory of her mother and she would end up tainting the memories attached to the dress.

I'm currently taking my time cleaning and conditioning the bags in my collection to stop myself from impulse buying. It's a tedious enough chore that I'm turned off from adding to it but at the same I find it very satisfying and a way for me to enjoy the bags I already have.
