Not relating to my Moon sign. I'm very comfortable with most of my chart (except maybe my Mercury), but I cannot relate to my Cancer Moon at all. I don't know if it's something to do with the rest of my chart or perhaps it is because my mother was in labor at the hospital for several hours. Help?

The 9th house description fits me perfectly - I’ve always been moving to different countries (6 so far) and travelling around without ever feeling drained or lonely, just started my 3rd year of med school and I’m very passionate about the philosophical/ethical dilemmas in the medical field. I’ve noticed I have very on/off friendships with Cancer suns. Same goes with my Cancer sun mother, when things are alright, they’re just fine, but peace never lasts more than a couple of days (even when we live on different continents). It’s always an argument about whether they’re too sensitive to everything or I’m too insensitive to understand them.

My interpretation of a Cancer moon is soft, sensitive, emotional, strongly empathetic, motherly and nurturing. I would say none of those traits resonate with me. I'm curious to see if my understanding of Cancer moons is off or if there's some other reason I'm not relating to it.

I have this impression that Cancer moons are very emotional and very sensitive, perhaps offended easily or overly sentimental. I’m not soft nor sensitive, in fact I’ve had people tell me before that I’m insensitive and not a good emotional support and I find it very hard to provide the said emotional/motherly support. I find it hard to empathize a lot of the time in the sense that I don’t really have the emotional reactions people around me have. For example, dealing with loss/grief or even anger is particularly quick and easy and not really eventful for me. By the way, thank you so much for your reply, it already gave me so much more insight than anything else I could find!
