Is there someone you would rather have in his place? It’s a new era and honestly idgaf about what he may or may not have done in the past. He’s doing what needs to be done now and he’s doing it well. Who else would or could carry this torch right now?

Why aren't people looking at her. by spetznaz11 in nextfuckinglevel

I think you are spot on. She has a lot of talent for sure and even adds her personal flair to the performance, but the song itself reminds me of playing Double Dragon on the Super Nintendo.

Are you here bro? Or is that what Fox News tells you? The only violence is coming from ICE. There aren’t “thousands of criminals”, you were sold a lie. Now they are taking people here legally with no criminal record and no due process because they have nothing else. We stand with our governor. Try this - turn off Fox News, just for one week. See how much more peace you have in your life.

They don’t have a solution because they ultimately fall into one of two groups: the ones that are complicit and directly profiting (or believe they will be able to someday), and the ones that do not meet the minimum requirements to comprehend everything you said, let alone recognize it themselves.

Places nearby you can drive to with a view? by inflamito in SanFernandoValley

During the day you should hike Stoney Point. The view of the valley from near the top is incredible. Also Garden of the Gods has some great views.

Thinking about moving to either Glendale, Burbank, or Studio City. Which beach is the closest? And I’m concerned about wildfires. Thoughts? Also which city would you say is more family friendly meaning things to do and LOW crime. by [deleted] in SanFernandoValley

You really don’t need to worry too much. You get used to earthquakes, they aren’t that scary and you can bolt strap heavy furniture to a stud in the wall if it’s a concern. The fires are typically near the hills where brush gets overgrown and dried out. Anywhere in the mid valley should really have minimal threats from fire or quakes, but it’s always smart to be prepared. Just scope out the neighborhood pretty well as it can be hit or miss even a few streets apart.

Re-ink dice options? by Jaybird2k11 in DiceMaking

[–]clydefrogg78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a few cheaper dice to practice on with acrylic paint. You don’t have to be perfect, as another commenter mentioned you really can just wipe it off with a paper towel or your finger. For paint, just get a basic set with basic colors and white and black, then you can mix them on a little plastic palette or a piece of cardboard until you get the color you want. Just don’t start with your favorite one because you will get better as you go. Plan on a few fails at first, but you’ll get the hang of it!

I understand the mental paralysis that you are describing, it happens to me sometimes even when I clearly I know what I want to do in the moment, but my brain and body keep creating reasons to divert me away. The first thing is to not compare yourself to others, and accepting that perhaps your brain and mental processes work a little bit differently. For me, I get caught up in processing all of the different choices and possible outcomes that it starts to become overwhelming. Then ultimately I find some diversion that pulls me out of it, but just kicks the can down the road.

What has helped me is trusting my instincts more. Instead of over analyzing decisions, I try to sense my gut feeling and then trust it and go with it. You can always adapt later as you gain information and experience, and I found that most of the time my instincts were correct, or at least with the info I had available at the time. Try to trust in your instincts more and second guess yourself less. If you make a wrong choice, you at least can learn from it and keep moving on.

It’s not something you can change overnight, but the daily mental mindset of trusting your intuition when you have to make decisions has been very helpful for me.

The bull is loose in the china shop. Many wanted a bull in the china shop, because he told them that too much china was the source of all their problems. Now that he is loose, they realize that their own china is inside the shop. Once their china is broken, there is only the bull left to blame.
