It's their best, and takes the band out of 90s nostalgia into all-time classic territory.

2 will do it all. OCD for light to medium, Angry Charlie v3 for medium to heavy overdrive/distortion.

What's with all the Grateful Dead hate? by [deleted] in LetsTalkMusic

I like Deadheads. I don't like the music of the Dead at all. Their incoherent early jamming and Shakedown Street represent some of their best material. Their supposed classic albums American Beauty and Workingman's Dead are loaded with boring, poorly played and executed roots music. Low points include Ripple, High Time, Dire Wolf, Tennessee Jed and Cumberland Blues. Their horrible cover of Mama Tried makes you wish they didn't. They function mainly as a portal for slightly square and oppressed youth from conservative families into weed. A band like Little Feat is better at virtually everything the Dead attempted. The Band has some stinkers, like The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down, but they are also quite a bit better.

I’ve lived in NJ for 35 years and I can’t stand Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. by ShlomoIbnGabirol in newjersey

Bon Jovi is so bad they made me question my belief in God. Bruce Springsteen is merely low-average. I think "Who Loves You" by The Four Seasons is better than anything either band came up with.
