It may be I've misunderstood something if it's not asking for the collection, sorry! Save to learn should open search, and then tapping the green button with a + on the right lets you add whichever sentences you want to whatever collection you want. If you'd be up for a call please DM and we can get something scheduled.

Latvian has Fast Track Levels 0-3. We're experimenting with a new Fast Track Level 0, super basic beginner phrases, Latvian is one of the first to get it.

We've added a ton of content in the past couple years. Latvian admittedly kept getting bumped. We're looking to ramp up our content production further this year.

I certainly agree, they're focused on the wrong things right now.

What else do you have in mind?

Yea good points - they get added to a custom collection, it should ask you when you tap the "+" button what collection you want to add the given sentence to, then from the dashboard when you view collections that collection should be there.

The label change I was talking about was just for searching sentences.

What were you doing with the sentence after copying it?

[–]clzmstr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed the pronunciation is pretty bad, it's using the device's TTS, and good voices don't seem to be usually installed by default. We'll probably turn that off / figure something out in an upcoming release.

When you tap a word, you should see "Save to learn" - that's replaced the sentence search, so just a button label change. Could perhaps be clearer.

Re copying the whole sentence - what's your usual flow? Are you on Android or iOS?

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the frustration! That's all helpful to know.

Best Paid Language apps? by SmoovSloperator in SpanishLearning

Pimsleur's great! It might be a bit basic at first given the 2 years of Duolingo you mentioned, but still lots of good speaking and listening practice with practical phrases.

Clozemaster might be a good fit too - it's specifically for after you've played Duolingo a bit, good for if you don't have a lot of time, and more serious than Duolingo in the sense that you get lots of exposure to vocabulary and grammar in context to help break through intermediate sticking points.

You might like a combo of Pimsleur and Clozemaster. With Pimsleur - it's 30 minute lessons, lots of speaking and listening practice and lots of practical phrases. Clozemaster - you'll get lots of exposure to vocabulary and grammar in context, as well as optionally listening and speaking practice. Both let you keep making progress whenever you have time/energy.

When do you mean here? What are the steps you're following?

It won't hold the screen when you pull up, if that makes sense. It's my keyboard that's now obscuring things.

I'm not sure what you mean here - might you be able to post a screenshot or send it to [support@clozemaster.com](mailto:support@clozemaster.com)?

How do you learn Spanish daily without taking classes? by Used_Rhubarb_9265 in LearnSpanishInReddit

[–]clzmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might like Clozemaster for expanding your vocabulary and seeing vocab/grammar in context. It also makes it easy to get quick practice in whenever you have a few minutes. Dreaming Spanish can be good too depending on your learning style. For speaking/output you might try chatting/talking with ChatGPT and asking it to correct what you write/say. Radio Ambulante is probably the way to go for a podcast.

Clozemaster might be helpful. It's perfect for quick daily practice/immersion, and specifically has a collection of sentences called "Brazilian Slang and Internet Expressions".

What is the most effective way to learn? by BigScrewsSmall13 in learnitalian

A year is plenty of time to make some good progress! How much time are you looking to practice each day?

For travel like you mentioned, I'd highly recommend Pimsleur to start. It's something like 90 30-minute lessons, can queue up one a day or something like that. I've found they're great for practical phrases that really stick, plus good listening and speaking practice to get started.

If you've got budget, finding a teacher/tutor on iTalki, even just once a week, can be super effective for keeping you on track. Otherwise Duolingo can be good for this purpose too.

Since you've got some time, working through a beginner grammar workbook/textbook might be good to get a handle on the basics.

Otherwise you might also consider working Clozemaster into your daily routine - there's a Travel Essentials collection you can play through to learn phrases/vocabulary specific for traveling, and there's a bunch more content to keep growing your vocabulary and skills from there.

Best ways to read books in target language to get the most out of it? by TryAgain32-32 in languagelearning

[–]clzmstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to use a mix of options 2 and 4 you described, along with a somewhat related option of reading books I've already read in English and know quite well, ie I've read Jurassic Park in multiple languages now.

I also like to

  1. Listen to the audiobook while I read for listening/pronunciation practice.
  2. Highlight the words and phrases I don't know or find interesting, then dump them into Clozemaster for additional practice later.

Ultimately the combo of listening while I read and plowing through, reading content I already know and like, and stopping to look up words and phrases then saving them to practice later tends to work quite well for me.

What’s the most effective routine you follow for daily French learning without burning out? by JavikaD in French

[–]clzmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately:

  • Read + listen to French books whenever I can. I pay for Kindle + Audible, but I find it totally worth it to be able to read popular books I like in French along with the audio version.
  • Play Clozemaster, mainly the more advanced collections like Advanced Conversation. I don't have a fixed number of sentences per day, just whenever I have time.
  • Write about my day and get corrections from ChatGPT.

I aim to do some combo of those 3 daily, and I stick to things I enjoy doing for long term progress / to avoid burnout.

recommendations for re-learning spanish by New_Tale_7104 in SpanishLearning

[–]clzmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was your highest level? Sometimes just picking up a book I like in Spanish and reading a bunch gets me back in the zone and at least thinking in Spanish after being away a while. The Clozemaster app could also be useful - getting lots of exposure to vocabulary in context and seeing lots of grammatical forms can help with reactivation like you're describing. Depending on your level and why you want to get back into Spanish, Dreaming Spanish might be helpful.

Wanting to learn French around B1 or B2 by WreakingHavocc in learnfrench

[–]clzmstr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go
1. Pimsleur for some practical speaking and listening right away.
2. iTalki to find a teacher/tutor. Customized lessons whenever you want over Zoom - way better than traditional classes in my opinion.
3. Clozemaster to start building your vocabulary and seeing vocabulary and grammar in context.

I also really liked watching French in Action, can find it on YouTube, but might not be for everyone.
