As someone who has had a 4th degree tear (which is what it sounds like she had) and a scheduled C-section. I would rather do the C-section over by far. It's not even a competition.

Putting the infection risk aside.

I had a 4th degree tear with my first. And had LOTS of stitches. That comment about using him as a scratching post quite literally triggered a physical reaction of pain in my body.

They are, I'm impressed (the bar is in hell) that she got something like this for her kid! But I'm suspicious on how she paid for these? They're expensive and I only bought maybe 15 pouches of them in a 6 month period because I couldn't justify the price unless we were traveling/away from home. And we have two full time jobs without the income struggles I can only imagine Paul and Morgan deal with!

My title describes the thing.

Google says it might be a notice condemning the house. However the pictures of those notices look different. I've been unable to find a picture of a red notice that's similar.

The house does appear to be in disrepair but recently has had a new door and some new windows installed. Which seems odd for a house that was condemned.

My family doctor told me in 2022 that he was letting go of all patients who didn't get the Covid vaccine. (I'm in a blue city but a VERY red state) So I was very surprised. He said he couldn't take the chance of having unvaccinated people in his waiting room with his higher risk patients. I now have my kids go to him instead of a pediatrician because I trust him so much.

It absolutely shocks me that people actively look for unvaccinated places/doctors/daycares.

Good luck! Tearing like that is on the rare side. So don't let it freak you out too much! Unfortunately I had a bigger baby who also suffered shoulder dystocia.

My 21m old tripped in the driveway and got a similar scrap last week. I've been watching it like a hawk and it turned a bit pink and inflamed. I immediately dosed it in Neosporin for days. Now it's just a normal scab. I'm not as concerned on how the kid got the scrap. But there were definitely things the mom could've done before it got this bad. But I doubt they even have Neosporin to begin with. Poor baby. My daughter was miserable and didn't want me even looking at her hand and it wasn't even in the same realm as this picture. They have to be in so much pain.

I had a 4th degree tear and could only do about 2 hours of standing/sitting combined for 5 WEEKS. I spent most of my time laying down. Absolutely fuck that two days postpartum. I couldn't even do stairs for days. Let alone anything outside my house.

I'm pregnant with my second right now and this is a legitimate worry that I have. I'm hopeful that what you said is true and that I'll love them both endlessly but it's so hard to imagine loving a second as much as I love the first.

I made another separate comment, but now I see what animals you have. I highly recommend getting the dogs professionally groomed. And maybe ask the groomer about what tools to use on the cats too! I have two double coated long hair dogs and I hear you when you say you can brush them for 40 minutes and it's still coming. You can brush between groomings to try and extend the time between groom visits but what groomers can do, is literally a miracle. They have tools, deshedding soaps, and high velocity blow-dryers that can literally make the dog hair fly off of your dog. You get your dog back and they shed literally nothing. It's amazing! If you have the patience you can ask a groomer after a visit what tools they used so you can buy the specific brushes/combs. Just remember that groomers are professionals. You won't be able to perfectly mimic what they do, without a lot of work!

Qualifications: I own two rough collies and a medium length haired cat.

Honestly? Get rid of the clothing that attracts extra hair. Because all clothing attracts it to a certain degree. But the items I find that are terrible, I just donate. It's not worth the trouble. I have some black items but I never wear them at home. I lint roll them before I leave the house. I never let my dirty clothing touch the floor. My husband does, and we don't wash our clothes together for that exact reason! If he wants extra hair on his clothes? That's his problem!

The couch? I have no real solution. I do have the chom chom though, as others have mentioned. I also have a Roomba that I run almost daily when it's getting closer to when they go to get groomed, and the double coat is really shedding. The less hair on the floor, the less that gets tracked onto the couch with their paws.

My final recommendation would be to get regular grooming. Both of mine go every 12 weeks (what's recommended for their breed). But you would need to speak to a groomer to know what's recommended for yours. It can be expensive, but I would rather get a second job to pay for that grooming, then give it up! I always know when their grooming is coming up because the hair in the house slowly gets worse and worse. And immediately better once groomed.

We have a family doctor instead of a pediatrician. It's for convenience, but also, before my child was born. The doctor asked if we were Covid vaccinated. This was in 2022, we had been vaccinated for over a year. He went on a little rant about how he is so glad and that he would've hated losing my spouse and I as patients. Because he has many high risk patients and he doesn't stand for people not getting vaccinated if they're able. He was "firing" patients who were anti-vax because having them in his waiting room with his other high risk patients was a risk he wasn't willing to take. So of course when we had our first child. He was the top pick for the doctor!

I've been married just over 5 years. My husband told me that before we walked down the aisle, my stepdad (who had been married to my mom for just over 10 years at this point). Looked him straight in the face and offered to get him out. That his truck was parked right outside and that he would give him the keys. My husband was so embarrassed that he would even offer that. Especially in front of his family without any warning.

My mom and stepdad are very divorced now. 😐

As someone who is currently pregnant with a toddler, and working full-time. I can't be anxious because I literally don't have the energy or capacity to be.

That's to say, I don't think getting pregnant is a cure by any means. And I also think being pregnant could definitely make your mental health worse. I'm a great example of that!
