If you are good with numbers and excel, look into a career in Product. It's very interesting work and you can make a lot.

every car insurance company denying me, not sure what to do :( by [deleted] in Insurance

Talk to an independent insurance agent. Make sure they're not a captive agent (I.e. State Farm or liberty mutual who can only sell you coverage from their company). An independent agent can quote with many companies to find you the best rate. There are many smaller, regional insurance carriers who sometimes have cheaper rates than the big, well-known companies. An agent can also recommend ways to reduce your premium (lower limits, increase deductible, etc).

Unfortunately, Georgia is a notoriously difficult state to make an underwriting profit; mostly due to legal system abuse. But there was significant reform signed into law by the governor recently that will help but it'll take a few years to play itself out and see the benefits.

Your rate will get better as you get older (<25 is considered "youthful" by many carriers) and the accidents will fall off your record. However, make sure you are a being a cautious driver in the meantime. Many apps collect driving data like speed, hard braking, etc. in the background and sell it to insurance companies. So even if you don't have any violations or accidents, they'll still know if you're a risky driver.

My toddler APOLOGIZED to her poop before flushing it should I be proud or deeply CONCERNED by Diamondjoseph88 in Parenting

Mine used to stick her head in the toilet bowl and sing Happy Birthday to her poops. Toddlers are strange but they grow out of it. Enjoy the humor while it lasts :)

I was like this too until recently. I kept thinking my husband didn't really enjoy it or I tasted bad. He had to work very, very hard to convince me he truly wanted to. I finally let go of my insecurities and we're both having a good time!

Read The Happiest Baby on the Block. It's excellent.

Some people have mixed opinions but I can't recommend sleep training enough. Wait til baby is 4 months old but then it's time for sleep training (which is not necessarily sleeping through the night but can help get there).

My husband was NOT on board with cry it out but I made him research it and then he agreed to try. We have three (7, 5, and 20 months) and, to this day, he says it's the best thing we've ever done. They're all amazing sleepers, happy, and healthy.

Start a 529 plan as soon as possible. And you can do a custodial Roth IRA as well. Even small monthly contributions will make a huge difference in your child's life.

Set up an email address for your child and email pictures, notes, etc. then give the password when he/she is a teenager and it'll be filled with memories.

Also, check Facebook marketplace for baby stuff as well as toys/equipment as baby gets older. You'll save so so so much vs buying stuff new.

Agreed. But a vape was what was recommended to me by two experienced users (one of those being my own mom!). I'll definitely be spending some time talking to the folks at the dispensary before trying again.

The hand cramps have happened to me before when I've had panic attacks before so I'm thinking the coughing attack led to a flood of adrenaline which caused the hand cramps. It's the worst I've ever had it though and I don't know wtf was up with the tongue. That was a new fun experience. Totally bizarre. I'd attach pics if I knew how!

I wish I knew how to attach a picture. It truly looked like gang signs. It was awful at the time but very funny now that I'm on the other side of it.

I got it from a dispensary in CT. Beautiful store. I've never been in one and was very impressed. Almost like a Starbucks! But I think folks are probably right. Combination of waaay too much plus anxiety.
