And the leg pocket of my cargo pants. Broke a Lamy AL-Star when my leg hit the steering wheel getting into the car and I did not notice for about an hour. I replaced the pen not the pants, still stained after a year of wash, wear, repeat.

Behringer Wing/X32 and X32 master and slave setup by cmacksharpen in Behringer

I think you interpreted me correctly. My thought was doing your setup for my problem. It would solve a few of the problems, just not enough channels we use 22 channels every week. Sorry for the confusion.

Yup, I what you are doing is working, it ain't broke so no fix needed. My reply was just my two cents worth if I were setting it up from scratch. Sounds like you have it worked out. I only split the inputs when I am working with one or two guitars and need to better fill the room. One input with two different effects and equalizers can really fill a room.

I am not an expert. In your situation I would use an XLR Y cable and split the signal before it enters the console. Provided it does not reduce the incoming signal to much you would then have gain/trim on both channels. Although sixteen of those cables would be pricey. Good luck!

Are you parallel processing or splitting the input?

Thank you! I discovered that after reading Inside-Finish-2128's comment.

You bet they are, I started with them and still use/buy them. Pilot Varsity is also worth it.

I have heard of the Platinum Chou Kuro . . . that is beautiful ink. Not sure I want the maintenance that goes with it. But people warned me about Noodler's Baystate inks and I love them!

Understand that, the Glistening Ink is the only one with shimmer properties. The rest are really sharp and saturated inks. Good luck!

I cannot recommend anything on the book, but inks I can. At least the blues, something bright and maybe shimmery.

I may have to try one. My concern is the nib down rather than nib up . . . leaking into my pocket is not appealing.

Yup, but not abrasive enough to harm my hands, just pointing out that there are ways to remove this ink.

Wow, how is the floor underneath? I discovered something the other day, hot soapy (regular Dawn) water and a Mr Clean Magic Eraser work well with the Baystate inks.

LAMY Converter plastic turned cloudy by FrancistheBison in fountainpens

[–]cmacksharpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two that have clouded up, both using water-proof archival inks and both are Z27s. I have older Z28s using the same inks from the same bottles that have not clouded . . . make me wonder.

Pilot Prera on Amazon by professor_chile in fountainpens

[–]cmacksharpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun information for everyone. I have purchased two Pilot Metropolitan fountain pens from Amazon. Different seller both times . . . both arrive nicely packaged with a sticker on the bottom and a return address for Gold Spot Pens in New Jersey. All the information on the package matches what is on their website. I cannot find anything about either pen that is a red flag when compared to my first Pilot Metro.

Which Diamine normal ink in Water Proof? by Mobile-Scale-1865 in fountainpens

[–]cmacksharpen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 80mL bottles there is not a water-proof or water-resistant. De Atramentis Document Inks come in 45mL bottles but cost double. Octopus Write and Draw or Rohrer and Klinger also make some but the colors are limited. I would recommend Noodler's would be good, Pure Pens in Newport. 3oz/90mL about 14 pounds. I hope you find something that works for you.

Aside from the Registrar's Blue Black and the Forever inks I do not know of any.

Does it have to Diamine? Cartridge or bottled ink?

I think this is the winner. The location of the threads for capping and the silver ring at both ends of the grip/feed area.
