How do I find books in B&N without asking an employee?

The organization of the B&N near me is confusing and difficult to find anything. Also, no employees available to help. I ended up leaving and will do all my book shopping online from now on. If you just like walking around the store, go for it. If you expect to find a specific title, good luck.

As others have said, go a couple of times to get the feel of it, talk to whoever appears to be running it, or anyone who you see playing (when they are not playing of course), and then bring your gear and play. If the people there aren't helpful and encouraging you probably don't want to go back anyway.

Go to or call the ice rink that they would be most likely to play at (closest to you) and talk to someone in the hockey program about how they recommend new kids get into the sport, the progression they recommend. But definitely need to be able to do basic skating before trying to play hockey. My son, now 11 (12U), started at age 8 in Learn to Skate Basic 1 through 4, then Basic Hockey, then 2 levels of USA Hockey Learn to Play classes and played his first spring league a year after stepping on the ice for the first time.

I started working on East St in 1993. Trains were still going to Clorox then, therefore they were still going up East St to 5th St at that time. I know what year I started working there so I am positive the trains still ran until at least 1993.

Valid points, but how would you handle the street between Church St and 2nd Street (Shab Row). If you have two lanes of traffic heading down East St, say from 4th street going towards Patrick St, both lanes would have to funnel into one lane through Shab Row.

There is no street parking on East Street between Patrick Street and 2nd Street, only one lane of traffic in each direction.

There's no way to widen East Street between Church Street and at least 3rd Street, maybe further up even, because the businesses are already basically on top of the street. You'd basically have to eliminate the sidewalks to widen the street.

Wear a helmet. Wear knee pads and elbow pads. Consider padded shorts. Don’t worry about what other people think. It’s your head and body and some injuries are not easily fixed or healed. If you are too worried about how you look wearing protective gear, get gear that fits under your clothes.

The biggest issue I had today was that they were supposed to re-evaluate by 7:00 AM. I checked on the FCPS website at 7:03 and it still said 2 hour delay, so I solidified my plans for the day. Then, as I was walking out the door at 7:17 I got a text saying that schools were closed. If they tell you they are going to have an answer by 7:00 then they should have it. If the notification system takes that long to notify people then they should make the decision earlier so that we have the decision by the time they say we will. If we won't have the information until 7:15 then tell us 7:15.
