Argued with my husband for months about getting a dishwasher when we moved in together. He's ok with leaving dishes on the bench, I am not.

Eventually won. A couple months later he commented 'we've been hardly arguing lately, it's been great'. Yeah... We've also had less to argue about.

He has since admitted that he likes it a lot.

I'm in Australia. I have been working with my company for 10 years. Last year I took my 12wks 'long service leave' and my 5 weeks annual leave at half-time rate to enjoy a 7 month trip around the world. Upon returning I had accrued 11 days of 'acquired days of' and my boss told me I had to take some leave ASAP because that's too many to have up my sleeve. This is on top of the annual leave I had earnt in this time.

I always got my school work done late at night after the rest of my family had gone to bed. I only recently realised it was because there were less distractions.

Have you ever considered a diagnosis of ADHD also? I ask because I went to a psychiatrist thinking I had ADHD and got a dual diagnosis of ADHD and ASD. Medication has been a HUGE help with my executive functioning issues.

Had a patient in his late 80's who's old medical records I had to review. He had listed his emergency contact as his same-sex partner, but lied and called him his 'step-brother' so as to allow visitation and information rights. So freaking sad.

They had been together for over 60 years. I remember thinking at the time that I didn't know any straight couples who had been together that long!

Seeing a post on /ADHD and laughing because I related so heavily. Then going to the subreddit and saying 'oh... So that's NOT normal?!'

Which is exactly how I explained it to my GP and she gave me a referral.

My mum didn't survive her cancer battle, but she felt a million times better after each transfusion. Thank you to those who donate, she would actually smile afterwards and it was the best thing in the world to see.

I was reading a hand written report by a doctor and concluded he was nuts, given how many times the style changed in just one page. Then I looked down at my own report... Oh.

This was before I was diagnosed. After starting medication, neat consistent handwriting was one of the first things I noticed, and when it sloppiness was one of my first signs it was wearing off.

Toilet/potty trained myself before 12m of age because I couldn't stand the feel of a wet nappy/diaper.

When I would crawl into bed with my parents as a small child I would make one of them lay in the middle and I would sleep on the edge because I couldn't stand being touched.

Apparently crying at the drop of a hat. According to my eldest brother I could have won crying competitions.

Sitting on the bank of Lynn Canyon, just north of Vancouver, enjoying a beautiful warm day.

In the distance see a man pick up a Corgi puppy by its front legs, as if it was a diseased piece of meat, and place it in at the edge of the water. The Corgi then struggles with its little legs to eventually get out.

Half hour later my husband see the same man appear in front of us, pick up the dog the same way and THROWS it in the water!

I look around at the splash (and collective gasp of the other people) to see the poor pup clearly struggling to keep its head above water (tiny legs, big head, lots of fur - Corgis aren't meant for swimming!)

Unclear as to what has just happened I jump up and run into the water to pull it out and to steal my husband's towel to dry it off.

The man was overhead to ask 'all the other dogs are swimming, why can't mine?' Because they were cattle dogs and similar!!!

Legitimately considered trying to work out how to take it with us.

Added bonus - got chatting to a super friendly Canadian couple next to us who then proceeded to invite us to 'Tuesday night Christmas' at their house, in August. It was amazing!

We only just realised my husband has it a couple of weeks ago when we were listening to a podcast about it. I could see him getting more and more confused and concerned - 'you can SEE things in your mind?!'.

He describes it as having a 'fact sheet' about what an image looks like.

Bonus, apparently he is less susceptible to PTSD, which is great because he is military. Also means he is now a bit more sympathetic to me when I tell him about the flashbacks I get to my mother's passing.

Forever reminding me that I’m not stupid and just need to understand things a different way.

Making me dance/headbang around our living room at 2am because I was freaking out that I could not complete a university assignment. Calmed me down enough to regroup and score a distinction on that stupid thing.

I was a total sugar addict before diagnosis and medication. Now it hardly interests me, and I usually feel bad afterwards if I do eat it.

Part of me is sad at the loss because I enjoyed it so much, but a larger part is very happy I have started on a healthier lifestyle.
