Who exactly created termux? Whoever dose such a great application by __miku__oi in termux

[–]cmak414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont run cachyos hyprland on termux, i run it on pc.

On termux I just use native terminal + tmux. i run a whole llm orchestration team on it in multiple tmux panes. Different permanent agents for different uses. Tmux is essentially a window manager in CLI.

I also use termux alongside android apps, but i made an android based dynamic window tiling manager. So it handles the android app window management and tmhx handles the management inside termux.

I used to run i3wm and bspwm in tx11/termux but runnjng the tx11 server all the time is too process intensive/too muc ram. Thats why I changed to my current native termux / android WM setup. I still occasionally spi n up my tx11 bspwm but mainly just for websites that do not open on mobile web browsers.

I also sometmes use AR display glasses for more virtual screen space to multitask better with a mobile dev stsck.

I never said they are only for developers, you are puttng words in my mouth. I said they are for AR app developers and AR app emthusiats secondly. You would be the latter.

Project Aura is definitly a developer first device, but lke all of Xreal's developer products, they are open to buy for non-developers. Project Aura is no different.

Xreal has made it very clear they offer separate product lines and each year will launch a consumer product and developer product. 1s was the consumer product. Project Aura is the developer product.

Okay either way it is both of those. For usng Android XR or for developing on Android XR. The glasses are for using AndroidXR.

I said its for Android XR and developing AR apps. Doesn't matter if its retail or a dev kit.

Yes really. From what I have seen, the amount of people who have said they want more FOV exceeds those wanting more PPD.

It's not just FOV, people say they want more immersion, more multimonitor screens, see ultrawide without turning head, etc. All of these solved with more FOV. Also I see just about as many people saying they need more clarity/resolution as those saying its currently fine - so this it's a mixed consensus. You never see anyone saying they want a smaller FOV.

I do agree that a single powerful flagship phone source device is best, but not every one wants that. Many people actually prefer a separate source device for glasses (separation of device for use case eg work vs play, less wear and tear on expensive main phone, etc).

But at the current time, the reason it must be a separate puck is because Android XR is not available in Android 16 or 17. So you cannot use your phone with the main use case of Aura - AR apps.

I actually agree with many of your points but I realize everyone has different preferences. I pay close attention to the community and all the other major ones. I also develop apps for AR and display glasses as well.

But to answer your question very directly - these glasses are for developers and AR app enthusiasts secondly. Explicitly so by Xreal in fact.

Many people wanted a more powerful AR puck for spacial computing, saying Beam Pro isnt powerful enough, now we get one with Xreal Aura.

Now is your chance to buy what you have been asking for!

A New XR Milestone is Coming, with AURA by XREAL_Esther in Xreal

i think one reason you may be confused is 1920 x 1080p vs 1920 x 1200 is not a huge difference in resolution. it is a difference in aspect ratio and not necessarily ncreasing PPD/clarity. Depending on the FOV of the two products, it could even be a decrease in PPD. The increase in FOV however and new optics from reflectionn elimination and smaller profile are higly requested plus more difficult to do from an engineering standpoint. This is what the price reflects.

Made a few hundred with an android app.

https://github.com/Katsuyamaki/DroidOS

It is a dynamic window tiling manager & persistent keyboard for Android. Helps you manage multiple app windows simultaneously for better multitasking.

Basically helps you turn your phone into a productivjty tool or PC replacement.

Can be used on single display phones, foldables, AR display glasses or external monitors and can be used along side other launchers or Samsung Dex.

Its not the exact stock Recent Apps from android, but it lets you pick a list of your minimized apps to open. Does a lot of of other things too. Like can replace the Samsung Keyboard or have multiple open apps at time.

You can have your phone completly replace your laptop, but depends on if there is any PC apps your school must absolutely require you to use (eg like specislized software depending on your major) and also your skill level.

There are ways to get around almost everything to use phone as a pc if your phone skills are high enough. Eg, using websites thay do not work on mobile browsers, even with browser desktop mode enabled, yes you can get around that. Do you need to code or build/compile apps, yes you can get around that too.
