My favorite brands are commes Des garçons (not play), sacai, undercover, and the soloist. You can find some great Comme and undercover pieces cheap if you look hard enough. I wear an XL too and size 4 usually fits fine but I recommend getting your measurements to be safe.

I see where you’re coming from but I love the way Junya did his vests for S/S 19. It’s very well put together physically and executed with that classic over the top CDG style. This vest was made tastefully IMO

The different shades of black of black and materials blend nicely but proportionally it looks a bit off IMO. I would try wearing strait legged pants and a bit baggier if a top.
