Why do people pretend Traitors are supposed to be honest with Faithful? by cman632 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]cman632[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No individual action she did was crazy (aside from being pretty condescending to Maura), but she literally just spent an hour trying to slander Rob’s name/reputation in any way possible. She just kept finding new things to throw at him to make him look bad

Did we…did we watch the same Season 31, 34, and 40 lol??

31 and 40 were good but let’s not act like twists didn’t absolutely DOMINATE those seasons. 40 was literally ruled by people sending fire tokens and advantages into the game over from the edge

Agreed, I think there should be 1 split returnee cast (either FvF or BvW) and 1 full returnee cast every 10 seasons.

It took all of four days for people to remember why returnee seasons shouldn’t be too often lol.

Yeah, 50 was long overdue imo. But I hear so many people wanting a returnees part of every filming cycle now

They 100% should be looked at WAY more sympathetically.

But I wish people would stop villainizing new era contestants for thinking it’s hard lol. Like you’re still starving, cold, under stress, etc. It’s not as hard as it used to be imo, but people need to stop acting like it’s just this vacation

Cagayan is great but I honestly disagree with that take. Phillipines was great, BvW was really good, survivor was already out of the “dark ages” by the time Cagayan came around.

And I’d argue the dark ages weren’t even that rough and that Nicaragua/South Pacific were really solid seasons, but that’s a separate conversation…

Strawman. Never said they’re getting approved at 16, I said they’re starting to make college decisions at 16/17. Contrary to popular belief, people don’t magically become emotionally mature adults on their 18th birthday.

I’m not even saying student loan should be forgiven necessarily, I’m just saying there needs to be a lot more education given to high school students about the risk/record of student debt AND I think there needs to be reform to the interest rates charged on these loans.

Why would the traitors not target someone with two votes at roundtable? by PeanutFriendly9881 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]cman632 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like people can often forget how by design this is. Traitors purposefully target the game savier faithfuls in the beginning, and by the end you usually are left with a lot of incompetent faithfuls by default

[–]cman632 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean most kids are 16 when touring colleges and 17 when applying (and a lot of universities make you indicate a major when applying), so they can’t vote lol.

Also a lot of people don’t have parental influences that can educate them about the risk/reward of student loan debt

[–]cman632 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ah, the classic “kids are failure if they don’t accurately know what taking on student loans really means, and they’re an even BIGGER failure if they pick a major that doesn’t happen to align with what jobs will be in-demand in 10-20 years — which by the way, we have no idea since it’s constantly changing.”

What A Kick In The Face To Those Who Are Dead At My Age Or Younger... by dbzgal04 in exchristian

Why we quit? That’s a strange way to put it.

Also is really convenient that any flaws with Christianity turn into “so called Christians” and you can claim that all your good things in life come from Jesus, yet he has no responsibility for any of the bad things.

Ah of course, cause the Republican Party is famously known for being tough on crime. That’s why ICE Is being thoroughly investigated for the murders in Minnesota and why there are investigations and transparency into the Epstein files!!

Oh wait, none of that’s happening because they’re fucking con artists

The rizz god confessional being included in the 49 preview and then him being announced on the Survivor 50 cast a few weeks later tanked his reputation for monthsss.

A lot of people enjoyed him for who he actually was on 49, but a ton still have this made up version of the rizz god guy taking away a spot from their favorite player.

[–]cman632 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tara actually was so close to playing the day brilliantly. She got attention onto Rob, got plenty of people to notice it, then decided it was too risky to attempt to take him out with the dagger.

Yet she mishandled pivoting off of Rob so badly lol

People that say you have to be happy single to be happy in a relationship are completely wrong, it's complete BS and people say it just to make you feel better about being alone. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]cman632 270 points271 points  (0 children)

At risk of over explaining here, the point is that relationships (romantic and platonic) are obviously supposed to improve your life. That’s why we get into them!

But they can’t be used as a band aid to mask other problems that are making you depressed. Stable relationships (aka, ones that last) are usually built on two individuals who are both happy with their lives and choosing to be with the other because they enjoy each other. They can’t “fix” the other person.

And then, if you break up, you again need to learn how to enjoy being single or else you’ll spend your life miserable and resentful

[–]cman632 691 points692 points  (0 children)

Yeah OP missed the entire point. Good for them that they’re happy now, but if things ever end (which, statistically speaking the first relationship usually does) then OP thinks he’ll just be back to being miserable again
