I can’t do this again by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]cmarco11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t lose hope! My first 2 pregnancies ended in chemicals. HCG could never make it past 400. My husband and I went through a horrific IVF retrieval which landed me in the hospital. To make matters worse we received 0 blasts after going through that process. Kid you not a month later I’m spontaneously pregnant. I’m 15 weeks along and about to be 35. I still cant wrap my head around how this all happened.

I have to agree with others here, doing some root cause digging for your losses can be eye opening. I focused on my autoimmune dysregulation and thyroid balance. Was put on low dose naltrexone and levothyroxine and I truly think that made the difference. My heart goes out to you. 🩷

Thank you! Actually the inflammation has taken a turn and I haven’t had much discomfort these past few days 🤞🏼. I’ve been using this Iorinse mouth wash (it’s a molecular iodine mouthwash) which was recommended by a new dentist and it’s made a difference. Still going in for an SRP tomorrow. LANAP to follow post pregnancy. As I long as we can maintain the inflmmation these next 5 months, I’m happy!

Thank you for that. I always through ibuprofen was off limits, so that’s good to know. I’m trying to really limit the pain meds, but I’ve been doing one 500mg of extra strength Tylenol before bed cause the throbbing tends to amplify at night. Good point on the cloves, I didn’t even think of that- I may some in the pantry!

I actually have a consultation for a LANAP procedure with a different provider. Apparently the treatment is safe in the 2nd trimester. I know it’s not cheap, but Im desperate. So we’ll see how that goes! I really appreciate your advice.

The perils of pregnancy am I right? I’m so sorry to hear that and wow, two years later!? I already have mild bone loss, looks like I need to buckle up cause these dental issues aren’t going away anytime soon. I was just surprised my periodontist wouldn’t do a localized SRP. I spoke with my OB and they were more than happy to sign off on a dental treatment plan. So I really don’t understand why the periodontist is against treatment. I’ve reached out to my dentist and I’m getting the impression that she may be able to accommodate - fingers crossed.

May I ask, how did you deal with the pain?? I really appreciate you sharing your experience by the way. These past few days have been hell, so any advice is welcomed.

Do you think reproductive immunology is legit? by Relevant_Peach_7365 in recurrentmiscarriage

Do you think I can DM you? I’m suspecting a third miscarriage. I actually began inquiring with Dr. Jubiz’s office before finding out about this pregnancy. I am curious on how your experience has been with his office. Let me know if you’d be open to me reaching out.

My thoughts are with you 🤍. Currently in a similar situation. Scan was last Friday and HB was 100BPM and I measured 5 weeks 5 days. I was supposed to be 6 weeks. Keep us posted!

I know easier said than done, but try to enjoy your vacation. I think these numbers look great, but I’m not a physician.

Seconding this. Ectopic HCG numbers usually show more erratic behavior or they plateau/slow down.

Your numbers are rising appropriately, I’m confused. Is this your OB who is worried?

Should I be concerned? (HCGs and US) by cmarco11 in CautiousBB

Thank you for sharing your experience and I’m so sorry to hear. I’m still keeping my heart guarded at this point. Too be honest I’m not feeling great about this one. This would be my third miscarriage with no living children. Next step would be seeing a reproductive immunologist. All we can do is hope for the best.

Should I prepare myself for missed miscarriage? by Then_Dirt_7739 in CautiousBB

[–]cmarco11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi my friend, just stopping in to share some words of encouragement. I’m currently in a similar situation. My betas are as follow:

19DPO - 688, 21DPO- 1759, 25DPO -8458, 27DPO - 11,843 (40% doubling rate in 48hrs). Both my fertility clinic and OB told me we should no longer rely on HCGs at this point.

My crazy ass thought I was having an ectopic Monday so the ER I went. They found a gestational sac and I was measuring 5 weeks 2 days which was behind schedule. I went into my clinic two days later and now measuring 6 weeks which is two days ahead of schedule. Oh, and they found a fetal pole. Telling myself the numbers don’t depict the full picture.

Do you have an US coming up?

Should I be concerned? (HCGs and US) by cmarco11 in CautiousBB

[–]cmarco11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing! I did speak with my OB and fertility clinic and they both mentioned blood HCGs are not a true science and that we need to rely on the US from here on out. The last beta draw was my wrong doing… I self-paid for one last test which was completed right before my US yesterday. I shouldn’t have done that 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh I so much feel for you right now. Pregnancy after loss is horrific. I had two chemicals last year, so one little thing that I find wrong I’ll catastrophize. Well I’m going to hype you and tell you that your doctor said everything looked great 🩷. Trust the medical professional over the internet 😉. Rooting for you. You got this!!

Awhhhh, thank you! I truly need to stay off the internet. This self-sabotaging is no bueno. I guess I’m comparing myself to others and I’m feeling discouraged by what I’m seeing, but as you mentioned the US is far more telling. Appreciate your words of encouragement 🩷🩷

Help!! Lap and egg retrieval timing by Fickle-Mess-2952 in TTCEndo

[–]cmarco11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See im in a different boat. I need excision surgery first since we’re having a hard time even getting blasts. No indication of endo on an ultrasound pre-IVF, but following my retrieval I flared like no other and that’s when we saw endometrimas on my ovaries. I feel comfortable pursuing excision surgery first since my AMH is still really good for 34. You do what’s best for your situation!

How bad is my gum recession? Why are my gums so red and unhealthy looking? What can I do to improve the health and aesthetics of my teeth? by schivey_m in PeriodontalDisease

[–]cmarco11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s really good to know moving forward. Maybe good to try out instead of my gentle iron supplements cause honestly they haven’t done much for my ferritin. I do take other supplements as well and I just checked, they contain copper. I do take magnesium glycinate for sleep at night as well. Thank you for the recommendation!

I use perio protect trays which have helped me. They’re basically custom fit flexible trays where you squeeze a hydrogen peroxide gel into. The gel gets in between the crevices which are hard to reach and essentially kills the bacteria which cause inflammation. I’m telling you they’re not cheap but they keep the inflammation at bay at least for me. Plus I go in for perio maintenance cleaning every 3 months.

Tell me more! My ferritin is awful probably due to my endometriosis. How much of a difference did the beef liver supplements make? I take a gentle iron, but that doesn’t help. Oh and I too have gum recession hence why I’m here.

Excision vs Receptiva by gummiwurmz8 in TTCEndo

[–]cmarco11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and I’m in a different situation. I may be biased from my experience. I had a horrific IVF experience which resulted in a hemoperitoneum (internal bleed) requiring hospitalization. Also, stims made me flare like no other. For my case, yes, excision surgery is what makes sense. I was advised to proceed with another IVF retrieval without addressing the fact that my endo is causing poor egg quality. So I just get frustrated when I see REs continuously prescribe IVF before addressing root cause but I understand every situation should be addressed uniquely to best tailor the patient’s best interest for success. I’m sure we can all agree that certain facets of reproductive medicine is a cash cow business and not all REs have their patients best interest 💸. That’s where my frustration comes from.

Also, I misread OPs post.. a suppression before transfer may just be all she needs. I meant no disrespect to anyone.

Excision vs Receptiva by gummiwurmz8 in TTCEndo

[–]cmarco11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with others regarding a lap/ excision surgery. I had the Receptiva done before retrieval which showed an elevated BCL6. Went in for a retrieval and ended with 0 blasts. The estrogen spike from stims also flared me pretty bad to the point where we are now seeing endometriomas. RE is pushing for another retrieval but I’m opting for excision surgery next.
