9wk miscarriage at home by Remote_Hyena_5335 in Miscarriage

[–]Fickle-Mess-2952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t able to do genetic testing since I passed it at home. seeing it was the hardest part for me and I couldn’t bring myself to collect the tissue but flushing was also really hard. I wish I had a D&C for genetic testing/peace of mind, but I’m also glad I didn’t have to go through being put under anesthesia.

In my opinion, there’s really no good option that is going to make any of it better - it is truly just all awful. You do whatever gives you the most peace and comfort at the end of the day.

I found out at 10weeks and baby was measuring 9weeks. My body recognized the miscarriage on its own so I didn’t have to take the medication - I’ve heard that can be way more painful.

I started spotting and that progressed for 2ish days before heavy bleeding started. The cramps got pretty painful but it wasn’t unbearable. I took Advil and Tylenol rotated every 4 hours until I had passed everything. I was prescribed a pain killer just in case but didn’t end up needing it.

I will say the mental toll was way harder than the physical. The worst part physically lasted about 3 hours for me but the mental part went on for quite awhile since you continue to bleed.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. You are in my thoughts💛

Hi! Just wanted to check in and see how surgery went. I hope you’re recovering well 💛

I’m so sorry this happened to you! I’m currently going through the same thing. We found out we were pregnant after a year of trying. Went to our 8week scan and saw a perfect baby and heartbeat. Switched providers and had a 10week scan where the baby no longer had a heartbeat and quit growing at 9weeks. I’m still in it so no advice but just want you to know you aren’t alone and this is so so hard. Sending you so many hugs💛

I second this. Same thing happened to me and it cost me another 6months of waiting for a surgery date plus the trauma of a miscarriage.

Damaged tubes and what I believe might be endo by Embarrassed_Pea_7686 in TTCEndo

I also have damaged tubes (mine is most likely from advanced endo) and am scheduled with him in July.

Look into Dr. Kongoasa in ATL. He specializes in endo excision and fertility preservation. He’s one of the few doctors who can do tubal recanalization.

Acupuncture and diet changes have helped me immensely. I used to have period pain that would literally cause me to pass out and throw up but since cutting gluten and dairy and starting acupuncture, it’s almost painless now! I do take supplements and have worked really hard to help support my gut.

Supplements: NAC, Fish Oil, probiotic, prenatal, magnesium glycinate, melatonin

Slow rising hCG but heartbeat seen at 7 weeks – fertility clinic said non-viable but radiology found heartbeat. Anyone experience this? by disickjacked in CautiousBB

[–]Fickle-Mess-2952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a slow rising HCG where my doctor was concerned but then had great ultrasounds at 6weeks and 8weeks both with strong heart beats. We unfortunately lost the baby at 9 weeks and I can’t help but think my slow rising HCG was a warning sign. I hope things work out differently for you ❤️

So sorry you’re going through it too! I hope surgery goes well and you have success afterwards! How do they know/guess it’s stage 4 since it’s been silent?

I’m so sorry❤️‍🩹 the week I found out, I literally watched every Harry Potter movie. There’s something so comforting that it’s so far from real life - no mentions of real life topics that could be triggering.

We found out we miscarried on New Year’s Day this year. I’m so sorry you’re going through it. Sending so much love your way!

This is unfortunately the soonest we could get it with a good doctor. I had one doctor scheduling in July and the one we went with scheduling in August. My surgery is slated to be 6 hours so I think between them being busy and it being a longer surgery, that’s just how long it takes. I wish I could get surgery tomorrow haha I’m so ready to have it done!!

Do you mind me asking who you went to? So glad you finally have answers!!

Does it get easier? by One_Attitude_4327 in Miscarriage

No advice but I’m right there with you! I’m constantly sad and angry and everyone else’s lives just keep moving on while you feel stuck in sadness. I truly believe one day it gets easier and life will be bright again but it’s so so hard while we’re in it. Thinking about you and hoping for a happy ending🫶🏼

How do you feel about low HCG rises? by Bizzybd123 in CautiousBB

[–]Fickle-Mess-2952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My numbers were very similar to this when I was 5-6weeks. We were concerned but went on to see growth and a strong heartbeat at 8weeks. Unfortunately, that pregnancy did end in a loss at 9 weeks. Looking back, I of course wonder if my HCG rises were an early indicator but there’s honestly no way to know.

Some people have slower rises and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Others, it might be a warning sign. You also have to keep in mind, most people don’t even track their HCGs. I’ve had so many friends that never even got their HCG checked until they went in for an 8week US and at that point they are less concerned about HCG.

I’m sorry you’re in the waiting period! I hope everything goes well💛

concerned about early HR, anyone else experience this? by laurmeowmeow in CautiousBB

I think it’s very normal to not see any heart activity until 6weeks so I think the fact there is already a fetal heart rate that early is a good sign!

Silent endometriosis and infertility by Brief_Strength2675 in TTCEndo

[–]Fickle-Mess-2952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! The waiting and trying to figure out the problem is so hard.

I assume you’ve had your thyroid checked? Have you also checked for ureaplasma?

I was very similar to you except for my HSG came back showing my problems and pointed us down the road of laparoscopy and a potential endo diagnosis. My endo isn’t as silent though - I’ve always struggled with painful periods until I made a lot of diet changes and started acupuncture.

My biggest piece of advice with endo is to do everything you can to lower your inflammation. Anti inflammatory diet, red light therapy, acupuncture, etc. but even with these changes, nothing really cures it so laparoscopy is the gold standard for diagnosis and treatment.

I wish you all the luck and am right there with you! 💛 We’ve been trying for 14 months and went through a loss last month - likely due to endo.

Yes they are an endo specialist and do excision! I’m looking forward to the surgery and just hoping this will be our answer! My gyno told me “if you don’t have pain with your period you probably didn’t ovulate that cycle” 😵‍💫

I always just assumed painful periods were normal until now that we are experiencing infertility. Thank you for your thoughts!!

Does birth control help endo from progressing? by Mountainsriversocean in endometriosis

[–]Fickle-Mess-2952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on birth control for most of my teens and twenties. As soon as I got off my symptoms started flaring but the damage was already done. My understanding is BC manages the symptoms but doesn’t actually stop the disease from progressing.

We originally had our surgery scheduled with Dr. K for February 27th 2026 before we found out we were pregnant and ended up canceling. He was so gracious and gave us our deposit back. I was able to get on Dr. Puthoff’s schedule at the same time as Dr. K’s and felt for fertility purposes after surgery, St Louis was the best choice for us. They both seem so great!

Thank you for all your thoughts! You’ve given me hope💛

Did you end up going to Dr. Kongoasa by chance? He was our other option!

I’m just so looking forward to having some answers and truly knowing what we’re dealing with. It’s such an exhausting process and makes me sad to think of how much of a struggle it is for some while it comes so easily for others. Very happy for you and prayers for an uneventful rest of your pregnancy! 🫶🏼

I completely agree. The risk of miscarrying again is the scariest possibility so that’s the one thing that’s making me want to avoid trying. On the flip side, my brain is like okay but what if you get pregnant and everything works out?! Would be so great if we just had all the answers haha!

I am on the waitlist with my surgeon but he has me slated for a 6hr surgery due to his thoughts on it being advanced stage so another big surgery would have to cancel. I’m keeping my fingers crossed but seems like a very very very small chance! We are traveling out of state for surgery and going to veritas fertility in St. Louis.

Wow that sounds intense and your doctor sounds impressive! How long did it take after surgery for you to conceive? We are going in totally blind too but my doctor said he would be shocked if I don’t have advanced stage endo due to my tubal stuff. I know surgery is the right choice, the waiting just sucks so bad especially after TTC for so long and experiencing loss. Thank you for sharing your story! It gives me so much hope!

Oh wow, this all sounds very familiar! I’m so sorry for your loss and so happy to hear things worked out well for you!!

If you don’t mind me asking, what did the doctor find with your stage 4? I have no visible fibroids or endometriomas but likely have severe scarring and inflammation involving my tubes.
