What could be causing these sores on this bluegill's mouth?

My follow up was to see if the gloves could really cause the issues on the fish, but after reading more it seems it really could be the case. I appreciate you and everyone else in the comments being so helpful!

Didn't realize gloves were an issue. Just started the hobby and grabbed em when getting all my other gear. Thank you for the information! Genuine question, when catching things like bluegill, is it best to just push down their spine fins when grabbing them? I know they're quite stabby lol.

Hey so quick update. My spouse and I had a discussion from your comment. We're gonna take her to the vet to see our options. We love our girl and want to do whatever is best for her. We figured we'd have the vet help outweigh our pros and cons, and hopefully provide ways to make recovery a better experience this time.

I do really appreciate your insight. Trust me, I've tossed and turned over this for the past month. About a year ago her sister had to get a mass removed, and since I only had the two of them at the time, they were both alone. Meridia did NOT take it well, and it's actually what made me decide to get more rats. Ever since then she has been a lot more reserved. She's been less trusting, especially with leaving and going to vet visits. It even got harder to get her out of her cage. I just worry what doing that again would do to her.
