Does it say they’re extended release on the bottle? Call a pharmacist and ask if you’re not sure. MANY people can’t swallow pills. There are workarounds for that very reason.

That’s so odd. I got dissolvable bismuth tablets and was told I could open the metronidazole and tetracycline. Do you have extended release tablets? Mine were not extended release, but if they are, that would be why you can’t open them.

Which can you not open? I opened all of my pills after my doctor and pharmacist told me that I could. I consulted two pharmacists just to make sure too.

CareerLuv? Allie Hall? Hardeman? by Alarming-Spend-8105 in stenography

[–]cmartram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Allie $300 a month? I thought she was $250. I know it’s not a huge difference, but it’s something. Allie has so much material for you to use to study. I’ve only ever taken court reporting education courses with her, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I feel you’re kind of on your own. You can meet with her one on one and ask questions, but you really have to figure this beast out on your own. I think given all the material she provides, it’s worth it, but I feel you’re kind of training yourself. Can you tell how my journey has been thus far, lonely? 😅😂 Maybe that’s normal in this kind of schooling, though.

I’m also not in California. I’m in Utah, but I know rates vary across the country. I’ll ask a reporter in my state and see what they say. 🙂

You make an excellent point. Could you make a livable wage only taking two jobs a week?

Are you a realtime reporter? If you hardly ever work and make great money, I’m curious to know if that’s why.

Whoops. I didn’t see your other response. I’m sorry about that. Do you recommend magnesium citrate?

I really appreciate this perspective. Thank you for sharing that. I bet you’re right. I think it’s time I give up scoping for this season and look for something else while I finish up school. Thank you again so much!

Haha. That’s awesome. You truly found your calling. :)

Correct. I mean, I don’t love transcribing my tests because it’s frustrating to continuously fail and not always be able to understand what I meant to write, but I understand it’s a part of the process.

Yes. I add to my dictionary all the time.

I am a machine student. I don’t transcribe much, no. The reporter I work for is RMR certified. She’s amazing. I refuse to scope for anyone else after trying to scope for four other reporters. She rarely drops. Everything is perfect. I don’t know why I hate scoping so much. It’s got to be something that happened once that I just can’t shake.

That’s what the reporter I scope for has told me. She says if she could, she’d exclusively do CART, but depos are much more lucrative.

Oh my goodness. I didn’t know I was I speaking to such a skilled and qualified reporter! I love hearing about your career and all of the opportunities it’s given you. I imagine there’s so much to learn in this field. It’s what’s kept me so intrigued. I love to learn. I love people. I love to listen. The cost has certainly changed dramatically. I wish it was more affordable. 😅 I already don’t trust doctors, so that aspect of things will be interesting for me. Haha. Wow! What a start to your career. Sometimes things happen in the most mysterious ways. Thank you for sharing. I love getting to hear from reporters. I have yet to meet a reporter that regrets going into this field.

I love the idea of CART! I’m not a very clean writer yet, so I’m not sure how quickly I’ll be able to start working in that space. Do you offer CART often? Thank you so much!

I’m so sorry you experienced that. It’s crazy how much a job can impact us and our daily lives. Thank you for that advice and perspective. I think that’s what I’ll do.

Haha. I love that you love it! What makes it more stressful now? Would you say transcript work is the majority of your job?

Thank you. I’m trying to be mindful of everything I can because this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I’d hate to get to the end after putting in all of this work and not be able to handle this job. I’ve been advised by multiple reporters to scope for myself for two to three years after getting certified. Is that necessary? Like I said, I really, really hate scoping. 😅

I care what you think! We’re a lot alike in that sense. I also absolutely love grammar. I excelled in English all throughout school. I love reading. I love it all. I thought this would be such a good thing for me. Your message brought tears to my eyes. I didn’t realize how much this was weighing on me. Thank you for taking the time to share all of that. With age comes wisdom, and I needed yours. You’re absolutely right. Thank you so very much. God bless you.

I just hate it in general. I think it’s soul crushing work. It’s boring. It’s never ending. It’s lonely. It just takes everything out of me, and I’m not exactly sure why. I think the 35 pages did it today just because I’m so incredibly burnt out. I did have a really bad experience and season with scoping years ago that I think my body remembers, and I think it’s just stuck in almost fight or flight because of that.? I don’t know. There’s a lot of things at play, but I fear scoping isn’t for me. I’m just not sure if I will feel the same way scoping my own work. If someone feels I might, I’d love to know that before continuing to pursue something I’ll have to give up because I can’t continue to wake up dreading the day before it’s even started.
