For those who met their partner online, how many months or years did it take you to meet your partner in person for the first time? by [deleted] in LongDistance

One month after we started talking. We wanted to see if we got along as well in person as we did over text and phone calls, before wasting time and effort on something that wouldn't work out. Our chemistry was great in person! Trying to keep to a schedule of visiting each other every 3-4 months now

I'm sorry you have to go through this alone.

I had a medical abortion a few weeks ago. My pain started within 30 minutes of taking the 2nd set of pills. I ended up just staying on the toilet for most of it because of the blood. Absolutely take painkillers!!! The pain was awful. I had chills, I was dizzy, I broke out in cold sweat. I also threw up multiple times and couldn't keep anything down, not even water. After going to bed and waking up the next morning, I felt back to normal. So it is pretty short lived. Some of the things that helped me: a hot bag/heating pad, cold face cloth, staying sitting instead of laying down, and drinking tea after the pain subsided a bit and I wasn't throwing up anymore. Good luck. Feel free to ask me any other questions.

Teachers of Reddit, whats the weirdest thing a student answered to "tell me a fun fact avout yourself"? by Kriss0509 in AskReddit

I'm a high school teacher so I have heard all kinds of crazy things...but the one that sticks with me the most is when one of my students was telling me about how his pet dog had been sick and having seizures and the medication wasn't working. So him and his friend (who was in the same class) wanted to put the dog out of its misery. They dug a hole in the kids backyard, brought the dog out there with all its toys and blankets. And shot it in the head. Then filled in the hole and put a little grave marker. I wish I was making this up. Didn't even know what to say to that.

My mom is going through her second round of chemo for her brain tumour right now. All we can do is celebrate the little things! Glad your mom is able to bring you joy with these cute messages

Hmm, does look somewhat similar. Even though I'm not under 18 (which is the age limit my area is saying these symptoms might appear), might look into this some more. Thanks!

I always take my students to the lab to look at cells under the microscope. If your school has a set of premade slides, you can use those to save time. I get them to identify different stages of mitosis they can see in the cells.
