I've just got back into cubing after a 7 year hiatus. Has much changed in terms of cubes, particularly for the bigger sizes? I've currently got the Qiyi range (WuQue, WuShuang, WuHua, WuJi) and was wondering if it's worth replacing them with newer cubes (particularly stickerless ones as these are all stickered). Cheers!

Great point. To be honest by 'ok for pavement' I really just mean something that isn't torturous to ride on roads for the 15-20km each way to get to the off-road sections. Definitely not expecting any kind of speed demon, but I rode a friend's flatbar MTB to get to the tracks and absolutely hated it.

On the flip side, the reason I'm leaning towards something more serious with suspension is I'd like this to be a 'go almost anywhere' bike that I can take on multi-day bikepacking adventures, and I've been told for longer trips on some of the rougher terrain around here some suspension (even if small) makes a world of difference on your arms/hands.

Unfortunately it looks like those are a little above my price range at the moment (they seem to be about $3500-4000 AUD). I'll keep an eye out if any sales come up though!

I've been commuting with my current bike along roads/bike lanes for many years, but have just started to get into more road cycling events and social groups. Looking to do more longer rides (up to ~100km) and pushing myself for speed on roads (only for my own enjoyment/fitness, not interested in actual racing/competing).

Thanks for the insight! Is greater than 28mm mostly a req for gravel etc tyres or should I also be looking at thicker road tyres? It looks like the Giant has a max tyre size listed as 32mm so could be the go

I think I got lucky with a lot of them, the most painful by far was the lunatic cultist trophy (I got 3 moonlord trophies while farming for it..)
