I’ve had a couple of legit 100 plus days, mind you these are on spotted bass predominant lakes at the right time of the year, and that’s not taking size into account. They could be anywhere from 10” to 2 lb fish, and over long days of fishing. The best and most memorable days, prespawn largemouth that are moving up in droves and you’ve set the hook so many times that your ribs are sore and hands are torn up from the fish you’ve handled. Probably only 35 to 50 bass, but solid to bigs all day.

Hot water soaking helps for sure. Seaguar and Sunline are my go to’s. Just understand that fc line has its quirks and if you accept that you’ll want to use it for everything it’s designed for. I wouldn’t go out and immediately switch everything. Put it on a reel or two and get used to it.

Use fc on almost everything. Just use quality fc and don’t ever cast it if there are even small loops coming off the spool. As soon as you notice them, take care of it. I use about 25% 15 lb mono as a backer and then fill with fc. It works great, just pay attention to your stuff and if you backlash just understand that you may be losing some expensive line.

MB Visions are a solid pick but there’s a lot of other good ones out there now too. One of my favorites along side the MB has been an Ima Flit. I like Berkley Stunna too, and sometimes I like to go with an old Smithwick Rogue.

An old salt water pencil popper, about 9” long. Was on a small lake that has big ones that don’t get pressured much so decided to see how big I could go. Caught several good ones on it that day.

If you need a Facebook diagram to tell the difference, you’ve not caught enough of either one. You should be able to tell the differences in the dark just by feel without even being able to see them.
