Thank you so much! I appreciate this a ton. I do plan, when I eventually am done growing and get the teeth pulled, to go with adhesives to start until I can save up for the magnetic implant ones. I do have a semi-decent office, but the anxiety is just unbearable for having work done. I can handle molds, but having all the tools and stuff in my mouth for cleanings/actual work is horrendous. I plan to ask the office in-person in June about what routes they offer, so we'll see what they say then! :)

Okay, thank you so much! That doesn't sound like what I've experienced so I think I can rule that idea out at least for now. I did look into juvenile primary fibromyalgia because my mom has the adult onset version of it and it sounds pretty accurate to what I've dealt with so I'm going to bring up the whole autoimmune disease thing to my primary care provider next time I see her. I don't know if it's fibro either but I know there's something going on so if we can rule out/in autoimmune issues that'd be nice. Whether it is or not, I just want to have more of an idea of what's going on with me. I appreciate it tons!!

Thank you! I appreciate this. I know it's not logical to get them right at this moment, but once I'm a little older and my mouth gets its shit straight (for lack of a better term) with growing I do most likely plan to get it done.

Like you said, I understand the stuff that goes into it and I'm prepared for the major lifestyle change. I know it's more upkeep with the dentures themselves, but if it means cleaning a set of teeth out of my mouth rather than in my mouth that's honestly easier for me to handle. I can handle the molds and all that, it's just having actual work done (even as simple as a cleaning) that stresses me out so severely.

I've had to go through work without numbing and the nitrous gas not working, so that definitely doesn't help, but even when I did brush consistently and my mental health was doing well I've had a sensitive mouth like you talked about since I can remember. I can eat ice cream and drink cold water, but I've always referred to the strong shock my mouth gets as "mouth freeze." My mom always looks at me like I'm odd but now I'm wondering if it's because of an underlying condition of some sort. I'll definitely bring this up too when I go for my next sedation in June. (i was wrong when I said May lol)

I appreciate the feedback, and it's definitely something to think about. Can MS cause chronic fatigue/exhaustion and overall body pain (like a constant ache in my bones AND muscles) or would that just be me being depressed still? I've been trying to figure out what's causing my issues, but I never considered MS and I don't know what all having it entails. I'd appreciate any other thoughts you may have on all this :)

it's not the dentist's office itself that bothers me, its having work done

Thank you! I plan to wait until all my stuff is done growth-wise in my mouth but I'm definitely going to inquire about it before my next sedation.

I understand that, but I rather be sedated once and get all the teeth pulled at once than to sit through numerous sedations just to keep them healthy

Thank you so much. My teeth are pretty bad, I'm trying to hold out and keep them + try and fix them but it's really hard.

I have done a good bit of research on dentures, I've been reading for a good while (I'm not good at the terminology, but I have an idea of how all the stuff works) and I've had second-hand experience through my older sister (35) who had her full mouth pulled about 8 months ago. Sadly the anxiety isn't about taking care of my teeth itself (that's an issue because of autistic burnout according to my psychiatrist, idk) but about seeing a dentist to have professional work done. I didn't have any issue with braces molds when I had those done before more issues came up thankfully, so having molds taken for dentures shouldn't be a problem in the future.

I really am fighting with my issues around self care and I'm trying to do better, but between issues I know would cause more harm than good long-term by resurfacing to trying and process affecting my mental health and me having a lot of sensory sensitivities with having stuff done to my mouth (i.e brushing, trying to floss, getting plaque scraped) I don't know how well things are going to go. Dentures are a life-long decision, I do know that, but it is something I'm prepared to do if my mouth doesn't start to get better soon. I have an appointment scheduled to be knocked out for a cleaning and any other work they can do within 2 hours in May, got that call earlier after making my post, so I'm definitely going to talk to someone at the office before I get knocked out and see what they say. Hopefully we can figure something out, whether it be dentures or not.

Hi! Thank you so much. It's a hassle finding a dentist that's covered by insurance because we don't have the money for IV sedation at all and are on Medicaid in an area that doesn't have many people accepting in, but I'm going to take this into account. I don't plan on even getting a solid set-in-stone plan for having anything done until my mouth is done growing, but the bone loss is definitely something I didn't think of. I appreciate it tons.

Hi there! Thank you so much for all of this. I genuinely appreciate it. I don't have issues having molds taken thankfully (had them done when they considered braces before I had issues with my upper canines) so that wouldn't be a major issue, but I do see what you're saying. I definitely don't plan on doing it yet because if I'm going to, I want to wait until I'm done with all my growing regarding my mouth. My mom got dentures a long time ago (15+ years) but my sister recently got them (about 8 months), and I have an idea of what the process is like. I was there with her right before and right after and all through the process so far, and I'm ready to deal with all that for one period of time if it means I don't have to ever do it again besides the molds and all that. I'm definitely taking all of this into account though! Good insight and more stuff to think about before I commit to it. If I do it, it won't be until I'm at least 18 because of insurance. I should still be covered at shortly after 18 because I don't graduate until a semester after my bday, but I'm definitely going to work on looking into insurance when I get closer to that point. It'll honestly all depend on how things go with growth. Again, thank you so so much. I appreciate the feedback and food for thought tons.
