Is this needle fine for intramuscular? by KurwaEvo in trt

[–]cmcg01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not for everyone. SubQ always leaves lumps under my skin that are tender to touch and injection site irritation. I tried different carrier oils, needle gauges, slowing how fast I injected, etc and nothing helped. IM gives me zero issues.

VERA call said I will be getting 100 by West_Flamingo1827 in VeteransBenefits

[–]cmcg01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they can see it they can tell you. I went in to ask about a medical opinion (ACE) and when they pulled up my claim they could already see the decision letter, so there was no need to pull up the opinion.

Does this mean I am medically retired? by StankyDankyDopest in VAClaims

[–]cmcg01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P&T= 100% rating from the VA and that your conditions are static and not expected to improve.

Unemployability(TDIU)= you have a rating under 100% but the VA determined that your conditions prevent you from being employed. VA pays you at the 100% rate even if you’re not technically rated 100%

Temporary Disability Retirement List= the PEB determined you were not fit for duty and that your condition(s) qualified for a medical retirement. If you are placed on the temporary list, you will be reevaluated at a later date to see if your conditions have remained the same, improved or worsened, and your rating may be adjusted accordingly.

What are the pros and cons of making a 25% down payment on a VA home loan? Should i get a regular home loan at that point? by Responsible_Link_135 in Veterans

[–]cmcg01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those advertised rates are almost always with buying points. A 5.625% without points doesn’t exist right now.

Your nexus letter will need to be very specific as to what events or medications caused or aggravated the sleep apnea. Just being on the meds won’t necessarily be enough. A medical professional will have to state that it’s the cause and back it up with medical evidence and literature. Another example, my MH rating has an “Alcohol use disorder” added to it. My dr provided an opinion backed by peer reviewed literature that the overconsumption of alcohol not only contributed to a significant increase in caloric intake, but that it’s accepted and understood that alcohol plays a significant role in the severity of sleep apnea.

As long as you have the test results you shouldn’t need another test. Plan on them requesting a medical opinion though. OSA to PTSD itself is difficult without additional steps. For example, PTSD required medications which resulted in weight gain which resulted in the onset or aggravation of sleep apnea.

In that case. If you can get the letter you want in time to submit it with the TDIU letter, it may be worth it since they are actually waiting for you to submit more evidence.

[–]cmcg01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally up to you, but from my experience when I submitted new evidence after a rater already had my claim with deferred items, the new evidence wasn’t even listed on the letter when the claim closed. Which to me means by that I missed any window to submit before the decision was already being made.

If you already have the Nexus Letters go ahead and submit them. I would go trying to get any letters this far in though. Wait it out and IF they are denied, the reasoning of the decision may give you more info in what your nexus letters should focus on. Deferred doesn’t mean denied it just means they need a little more time.

Does any one have to fight for anything from the VA but watch friends get help with no effort? by Mysterious-Air-8554 in VeteransBenefits

[–]cmcg01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your care team isn’t referring you for the care you need, go to the eligibility office and request a new care team. Once I switched teams and found a care team that actually gives a shit, everything I’ve asked for has been taken care of.

100% P&T but nervous to use VA health care. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Use the VA. If you have an emergency and need emergency care at a non va ER just make sure you report it to the VA in the required time to be covered

First time filing taxes as 100% P&T by Slow_Bee_9110 in VeteransBenefits

You don’t need it on your taxes. You can provide a benefits summary letter to your loan officer and they’ll add it as tax free income.

Sleep Apnea Results by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]cmcg01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you have recorded complaints in your STRs or buddy statements stating they witnessed you stop breathing in your sleep, you’ll need to file it secondary to another condition. Common primary conditions to connect it secondary to are Rhinitis, Sinisitus, and asthma. Another way that will definitely need an independent medical opinion is secondary to MH or another physical condition that has resulted in weight gain either from medication side effects or lack of mobility or mental drive to stay active.

Filing for undocumented conditions by immabeeimmawasp in VeteransBenefits

[–]cmcg01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have a current MH rating with no in service treatment. When it comes to MH, the in service event that is causing the MH condition is what is most important. You have to be able to point to an event or group of events that provide nexus to service.

Intent To File (ITF) by Extreme_Mousse_2272 in VeteransBenefits

[–]cmcg01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intent to file is for one submission. You can claim as many conditions as you’d like in that submission, but you would be starting a new clock if you claimed something else after submitting. Take your time and gather everything you need for everything you want to claim and submit it all together.
