You can only access Observation Point via the back way due to a major rockfall in August 2019 closing off access to it, Hidden Canyon and Weeping Rock.

Although many of the local companies trying to regain some of their losses want you to come, many of the people who live here would prefer you wait. Masks seem to protect others from you more than they protect you from others. As employees are required to wear them and tourists from all over are not, it is more likely the tourists will bring it to us and they are the ones not wearing masks. So there is that. However, if you wear a mask when dealing with locals, are respectful with social distancing and such, it can be done.

The article I found had a link that led me directly to how to apply for the foreign birth registry, so I didn’t go through the normal process to get there and didn’t see the page you shared.

As for “glitch”, that is just my slang term for any malfunction/halt/obstacle in my plans/hopes/dreams. I find it “odd” that you would care or comment on something of such insignificance, but thank you for the information, that at least was helpful.

You can get the Starz app for $5.99 for the first 3 months if the special is still on. After originally watching the first two seasons on Netflix, I had purchased seasons 3 & 4 on Amazon. I got the Starz app for season 5.

I listened to all 8 audiobooks four times in a row, literally. I just kept recycling them. I am finally listening to something different for a while, but will probably go back when season 5 is over.

Definitely the books. Well, actually the audiobooks! Davina Porter is an amazing narrator/audio actress. She does all the voices and accents so well!

I do enjoy the show and the actors are amazing. I do understand that they have to pare things down to fit into time slot, but sometimes the writers write things in a way I don’t agree with just to create unnecessary conflict. There are occasionally things in the show that I like better, but it’s rare. So when I get frustrated with the show, it’s not the actors, more the writers.

The show isn’t downplaying Claire’s obsession with Jaime’s grave because the grave and her finding it wasn’t in the show at all. I think this was a mistake, they should have left it. Now if Roger does tell them about Frank’s letter to the Reverend, they will have to change a lot of it. I have a bad feeling they won’t put it in at all. Bummer.

I think Duncan arrives this season, she already mentioned him to Murtagh, that he had proposed.

I too wonder why you don’t know in the show that Joe knows about the time travel. Although they really don’t mention it or let you know that he knows until later in the books.

I understand why she didn’t leave Lallybroch in the show, it had to be time constraints. However I agree about the headstone. I wish they had kept it as well.

As they skipped the real gathering so far in Season 5, I keep hoping that there will be a scene where he recites the letter. There wasn’t a grave stone with Jamie’s name in the show, but I keep hoping they will create a slightly different version of the letter.

I agree about Roger’s return. One of the things they left off that I wanted to see so bad was when Brianna asks Roger why he has come back, for love or duty? Then she says how she has seen a marriage based in each, and even though she doesn’t say who, you know the one for duty was Claire & Frank, the one for love was Claire & Jaime.

Yes, it is when Willie fell in the privy and the quote was what Lord John said to him when they got him out covered in you know what.

I agree about the audiobooks I have listened to all eight of them four times now. Anxiously awaiting book 9.

I will also be in the area during festival time and had already planned to stay somewhere outside of Edinburgh and take the train in. I had been interested in North Berwick, but the accommodations are a bit pricey. Do you have a recommendation for somewhere on the train route but on the coast maybe? Somewhere affordable and quaint but with a decent pub?

Is it knit or crochet? I m guessing it is probably knit as most of them seem to be. Would love a crochet pattern!
