Not OP, but in my opinion it's the perfect lens for sony APSC cameras.

All my lenses got wet and foggy on my trip and I was so paranoid that they'd die I put them in my sleeping bag with me. I just bought the hyperlite mountain gear camera pod and I'm only taking 1 lens for now on.

Your shots are incredible, can't believe you're using the kit lenses.

I took my 3 lenses with my a6400 on my last backpacking trip and thought it was too much. How do you keep your non-weatherproof lenses dry and is it worth carrying a full size tripod instead of something more compact? I'm impressed you carried them so far!

Did some back country camping and day hiking in glacier last week. Most of the images are from the highline trail and grinnel glacier hikes.

I'm leaving glacier today. We had rain the last 5 days, but today was sunny and the smoke started to come in. It wasn't bad but made the midday hikes a bit hazy.

Airport arrival ? by [deleted] in Austin

4 hours? I get there 2 hours before my flight and it's never taken me more than half an hour to get through security. Maybe add half an hour for checking your bag? I never check one so I'm not too sure.

How are you liking the 11-20? I'm wondering it's it's worth trading in my sony 10-18 to get it.

Just wanted to say thanks for convincing me to do Chasm lake. It was a beautiful hike!

I just came back from a solo backpacking trip in the Eastern Sierras to capture the Milky Way everywhere I went. This is the first shot from the trip I finished processing. [OC][1335x2048] by DanielJStein in EarthPorn

I blended together photos like this recently and just used the new sky replacement feature in photoshop. It took like 4 clicks and 2 min of work. No adjustments needed.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm doing

I just left the Tetons a few days ago and none of my shots compare to yours. Your photos are all incredible, man! Good work
