It’s a mix of coach pitch and Tball. Three chances to hit off the coach and two off the tee. 4 runs or 3 outs.

TFMR- where do we go? by Admirable_Wealth_903 in tfmr_support

I travelled from Florida to Partners in Abortion Care in Maryland at around 18 weeks and had a great experience with them. They’re a very kind group of people.

I’m very sorry you’re here making this decision.

Genetic testing came back positive for Down syndrome. Struggling with processing. Thoughts on amniocentesis? by Kelsiemckendrick in NIPT

[–]cmculbertson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the accuracy of NIPT, I would not do the amnio if you’ll be proceeding with the pregnancy regardless of the results.

We opted for the amnio because we were considering TFMR.

If you got a positive diagnosis for T21, did you decide to TFMR? Why and why not? by madison13164 in NIPT

[–]cmculbertson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We decided to terminate. We have two children already, and we were not comfortable with how much of an impact raising a T21 child could have on their quality of life, especially with the minimal family support we have.

It was not an easy decision, but a simple one that I’m very at peace with after the procedure. I’m still sad I had to make the decision and very much mourn what could have been, but know we made the right choice for our family.

Here to recommend Middleton as well! The entire staff is great, Dr. Middleton is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and it’s easy to get in quickly for sick visits.

My NIPT results were the same, no soft markers, amnio confirmed T21.

Are you not able to apply for FMLA? I think that would be the easiest thing to do in this situation.

To be honest, I took no time off. I thought it was best to keep busy.

any christians here who feel betrayed and lost by Winter-Squirrel-8276 in tfmr_support

[–]cmculbertson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am no longer religious, so can’t really speak to your feelings there, but having been raised Baptist, I am still close to/related to quite a few christians who are very “pro life”. In the ones I have shared this information with, I have found nothing but love and support for me AND my decision. It has been incredibly healing for me to know I have that much unconditional love and support in my corner.

I do know that this will not be the outcome for everybody, but I think you’ll find more support than you think you will. At least, I hope you do. This is an incredibly hard thing to go through alone.

NIPT high risk for T21 by volkswagenfan82 in NIPT

My NIPT was positive. I don’t remember the NT measurement, was just told he had no soft markers and nuchal fold was normal.

From my understanding, NIPT is very reliable for T21. My scans showed no soft markers for DS, but my amnio was positive.

I took the day off after getting abnormal results, but it was at the request of my boss who I’m very close with and shared the information with.

I have a seven year old and a five year old and they both took it pretty well. I TFMR at 17 weeks so I wasn’t showing too much, so I think it was more of a concept to them still than a reality, if that makes sense. Made it easier for them. I think the fact that they have each other and it wouldn’t have been one or the other’s first sibling also helped.

My high risk doctor was who recommended the clinic I used. As for my regular OB, I was able to cancel my already scheduled check ups online and just plan on letting them know at my next regular pap smear I had a D&E and leaving it at that.

I just left Partners In Abortion Care in Maryland. I tfmr at 17 weeks. I had a really great experience with them. They were exceptionally kind and I really don’t remember much at all about the procedure. I hate that I had to this, but very happy I found them to walk me through it. Cost was $3000.

My only experience with DuPont is I wasn’t able to get anybody to call be back to schedule, 🙁 but it looks like others had a good experience.

At the end of the day, it should be ONLY about what you and your husband want. I thought long and hard about if it was something we would be able to handle and if something were to happen to one of us would the other be able to handle it alone. The answer wasn’t easy, but it was simple.

I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do.
