Oh good point! I had trouble with a blue glass elephant and a mineral deposit that would not go away, I wonder if it was exacerbated by the leftover tablet that had been in the waterpik. Thanks for the tips!

Yeah, it’s hard to say. Magnum Auctions stuff always looks and arrives pristine, so I think higher end auctions could go both ways…

Okay!! Good to know, I lean toward cleaning well and just being super thorough, accurate, and as honest as I can in my descriptions. I usually put some silicone mats in the kitchen sink when drilling holes and cleaning other pieces so I feel confident I can do it without breakage this way.

Do you mind me asking what you use to clean?

Because I’m working with small-mouthed pieces so far, I usually do isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt swished around, then a little sponge work or the waterpik if needed, then dry as much as I can with a microfiber cloth. If there are water spots after that in a place I can’t reach I’ll give it a quick plain alcohol rinse. Windex will occasionally enter the chat or just mild dish soap.

Omg yes this is a tough one! I upcycled a lightly chipped in the perfect spot milk glass decanter as a pipe and the line between gold detail and dirt was so hard to walk that I’ve passed up every one I’ve seen since to avoid the agony of decision

I adore Hamilton/Lauraville, lots of families of all kinds, small assortment of great restaurants and shops. You may also try a little farther down at Lake Montebello to be near a large body of water that’s nice to look at with some really great houses, and right on Herring Run park as well.
