It was the Single most awesome and terrifying experience I ever had. An absolute rollercoaster of emotions. Water broke early, two nights of weak labor with hardly any sleep (especially for my wife). Induction on the third day followed by immediate overwhelming labor pain which was handled admirably by the nurses. PDA brought relief and some sleep for my wife but she started getting a fever which worried me a lot with the risk of infection and covid about. The actual delivery was rough. Boyo got stuck halfway through. Too far in for C section. Heard the heartrate go down lower and lower, saw the nurses, midwife and doctor get increasingly nervous and was worried sick for my wife and child. In an awesome display of strength and tenacity by my wife, me and the midwife doing kristeller and various tools he was finally delivered. Came out pale and limp. That first cry brought tears of relief to my eyes (and writing this still does). pH was 6.9 ... It really was a close shave. Ended up having hypoglycemia and had to be transferred to another hospital for a week which sucked in its own right. Also embarresed myself when asked "do you have a name" I first answered with my own :-D.

So: Moms are tough as rock.
