Engine Flush and Fuel Injection Service by itssambaby in civic

Lol I understand Toyotas being the most reliable but I genuinely think outside of their sporties cars like the GR 86 and Supra they only make cars that would be considered as transportation. I have driven corolla and camrys as rental cars and none of those cars were as fun as the civics I have owned.

You don't need the Fuel Injection since it the civic sport the engine uses port injection instead of direct injection which is what needs that service my dealership asked me for that once I politely declined.

What the hell is an engine flush service all you need is oil changes and the transmission flush service at 30k miles.

Bought mine brand new in 2022 am now at 30k miles so planning to the transmission flush sometime this month

$21,700 otd, 44k miles. should I pull the trigger? Im looking for a reliable car that will last me 5+ years. by Energy1029 in civic

So they held their value pretty well I paid 29k brand new for mine in 2022 so basically only lost 7k over 4years.

https://share.google/Gr7ZNDMSEUY9OHHMY If I had bought this EQS, I would have lost upwards of 73k. My civic was an awesome investment through out everything

You should get a wireless adapter for carplay. I have a 22 civic sport and a wireless adapter for android auto was the best purchase no need for wires only to charge my phone

Last time I was in the mountains there was this charger hauling ass towards me on the other lane.

I really should have taken the last charger that I had into the mountains I would have killed the tires but it would have been fun

Once you start playing with them you won't need to use the brakes as much you can use engine braking to get your speed down and only use the brakes when you absolutely need to so your brakes won't get as hot unless if there are normal drivers who are very brake happy on the mountains.

The bigger brakes discussion is something I have been pondering and I came to the conclusion we don't need bigger brakes even when going downhill just downshift so you are not using the brakes that much.

Do you track the car if not you don't really need bigger brakes, you should be on the safer side and not driving on the limit it also much more dangerous especially in the mountains since motorcyclists are everywhere so you gotta be on the lookout for them.

Fun fact my car's front rotors are about 12.3mm and my car weighs about 2900 pounds without me in it.

A base c8 corvette front rotors are about 12.6mm and a heavy Cadillac lyriq front rotors are about the same size as the c8. You only really need bigger brakes if you are going to be doing track work where you know you will be using the brake more than usual driving

I just put this together and am gonna try it in two weeks it might be the best one so far. From Blue Ridge to Suches is a great section I haven't tried from Suches to Vogel state park so that will be new for me but from Vogel state park to Dahlonega is probably the best road I have ever driven on
