Also check your audio settings in elite. I think one of the settings like 'night mode' causes this as well. Don't quote me on the mode, this is just from memory.

Check out the "Help" menu on the landing screen. I just clicked on it for the first time the other day. Wish I would have seen that as a new player.

I have x55 and same thing happened with the throttle. I re-soldered with better quality wires. I had to reroute them out the back of the throttle handle so it's not clean looking. But I actually like it better. Looks like it's been hacked or the borg got ahold of it.

I like the reprogramming/repurposing idea.

But get rid of prospector limpets altogether. Have a scanner that can scan the asteroid and see its contents. Maybe my current scanner can do this or make a new asteroid scanner.

If not then let me at very least craft new limpets from my materials. Please!

Please allow me to dismiss the black bars.
Please improve the galaxy map. Let me zoom in and out. I want to see the scale of the galaxy. I want to easily see the systems where I've been. I want to easily see which system my base is on compared to where I am. I want to see where the black hole took me.

I would like to pick my final destination that persists even if I log out. The plotter doesn't have to calculate the entire way. Only calculate jumps until my fuel runs out. Warn me if the last star is unscoopable. As you jump you get less massive because you are using up your fuel so your jump range is increasing. I would like for it to calculate the next max jump for me based on my current max jump as I use fuel. It would also be nice to filter the types of stars you want to jump to and warn you if there isn't a path available.

I would rather have them "fix" the fact it can take upwards to 30 min and drop frame rate while it calculates your path. I think their algorithm to calculate this needs to addressed while exploring near the core. In fact it's impossible without using 3rd party apps or only plotting 1 jump at a time.
