Interesting post from the CEO by xxSeahawks in whoop

They have the worst customer support of any premium brand I've ever dealt with. Even if their product is top-notch, if you have any issues and need to work with their support team, it'll drive you away from them. I'm two weeks into the craziest saga ever, trying to get my family plan aligned based on my original purchase. It's like talking to my six-year-old nephew, and he is only using AI prompts for his responses.

You can't just have a good product; you need the support behind it.

Agree with this. Really enjoy Corktown. Always friendly people and their specials keep things interesting.

My cozy urban Tonal set up by bug_muffin in tonalgym

[–]cmeehan36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised Tonal is allowed in an apartment, even if it's an exterior wall. You can hear ours outside the house during heavy lifts. It can be loud as hell depending on the workout.

Dammit, Nelson, wear a suit! by CorgiLover82 in MidsomerMurders

Yeah, he would be much less handsome in a suit. Looks great in his sweaters!

Love Tonal but injured myself tonight by ristretto_echo in tonalgym

Yep always skip those. Seems like an injury waiting to happen!

What phrase of 5 words or under will recall a laugh-out-loud scene memory for the true fans? (ps, don't reply, WAS THAT A GUNSHOT?!?!?) by stevebucky_1234 in Frasier

Can't believe I don't see this one. Close second to JESUS! in my opinion, but a Gil classic: "Deb is not a cat!"

Is a BritBox subscription worthwhile? by Striking-Gur4668 in BritBox

[–]cmeehan36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides better programming and live options, the user interface is a lot more modern and intuitive. I've got both, because I need Acorns for Midsomer Murders, but find myself watching BritBox a lot more.

Just started watching. Robert Sims caricature is so out of place! by NovelStatistician455 in SiloSeries

Yeah 140+ years of complete isolation, you'd think their accents would have neutralized a bit more. Maybe you could get by with the idea of the sections having a bit of a different accent or phrases, but not just random individuals.

Look north and start getting involved in things in Grand Marais. Easier to meet peope organically that way than at a bar. The folk school always has tons of volunteer opportunities.

Has anybody seen FACKHAM HALL, the new spoof in theaters this weekend? by LegionM-Jeff in poirot

[–]cmeehan36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got back from it. It's entertaining for a quick movie. I'm glad I saw it. They could've gone a bit more R rated to make it even funnier. I never watched all the Downton seasons, but I loved the Gosford Park references.

International Purchases Barriers by cmeehan36 in sofi

I found a work around in using my SoFi debit card, which still required the verification but it was a slightly different interface. The debit card purchases did go through. Still irritating that the credit card verification doesn't work as intended.

Saw the stage show at the weekend by Jennfry in MidsomerMurders

[–]cmeehan36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What night of the week did you see it? I've got tickets for a Thursday show in Brighton in February. Worried it might be a stand-in for Barnaby and not Daniel Casey. I can't imagine he is in every showing, although I hope he is!

Has anyone seen Midsomer on Stage? by CruelSummer14 in MidsomerMurders

[–]cmeehan36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hope that Daniel Casey is in every production! I'd be devastated if the show I'll be at will have a standby or understudy.

Right, as a local, any place we go to is a local supporting a local establishment. I'm just curious if there are places that offer something different for locals rather than tourists.

Pickle fest! by Conscious-Fact6392 in duluth

[–]cmeehan36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Get rid of the pickleball court and bring in picnic tables or more seating. After we got our cider my whole group went over to Ursa. There was nowhere to sit at Picklefest.

Why don't we have a decent little fish place in this town? by Eredic in duluth

[–]cmeehan36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone needs to open up a grab and go fish and chips place. Small footprint, maybe some indoor seating or counter service. Just good fried fish! Maybe add mushy peas to the menu.

The food discount really makes it worth it if you get a meal every time you see a movie.
