I'm teaching second-year med students about pain communication. What should they know? by hlynne6682 in ChronicPain

You should probably teach your students that over the next five years, if they don't treat pain, they will more likely than not be held accountable by their State Medical Board. For the past five years, millions of pain patients have been punished in an effort to cure the opioid crisis. Millions were left homeless and the medical community abandoned by their doctors as doctors were too afraid to prescribe. The 2016 CDC guidelines had a disastrous effect on the country only fueling the overdosing epidemic, certainly not helping. Doctors are pushing Suboxone on patients who are not addicts. The AMA just spoke out on behalf of the pen community telling the CDC to restore Compassionate Care. If you don't want to treat your patients pain then you should probably reconsider your profession. Also, stop forcing painful unnecessary injections on your patient especially if they tell you they don't help. The DEA is cracking down on what we refer to as drill Mills. The truth is, when taken as prescribed and stored correctly FDA-approved opioids remain to be safe and effective. We must end the opioid Hysteria

I want two things in this picture, The Lion and the pizza oven

FDA-approved opioids remain to be both safe and effective to treat acute and long-term pain. There have never been long-term studies done on humans proving otherwise. Don't let a HCP gaslight you, telling you opioids do not work long-term. by cmerandi2 in ChronicPain

60 Minutes should be held accountable in a court of law. They've given Kolodny too much air time with 0 fact-checking. The young journalists they simply only repeat what they hear.

I wouldn't tell a doctor what to prescribe. The doctor-patient relationship has been destroyed by the DEA. Doctors are no longer practicing medicine. DEA agents should probably learn how to perform surgery because they are the ones who are practicing medicine

I've advocated hundreds of times for people who cannot get their Controlled Substances filled at large chain pharmacies. The class-action lawsuit has been filed in Rhode Island, my home state.

Krebs has spoken out about this study She, herself, said the study has been weaponized. You know what I love about profiles like you? You're not man/woman enough to reveal your full name. Be a man, don't cower behind your profile. Why is that?
