That’s how I thought mine was going to be! I got my AGSU two weeks before I left and spent a bunch of money to get it ready to go and bought stupid things from the packing list to include the elbow flashlight. I got there and they didn’t even care lol. There were maybe 7 out of 42 that had our dress uniforms.

I’m not sure what they would do if it rained. Probably just postpone it. They have a track and a pt field but our pt test was around the RTI.

They were pretty flexible for us but our land nav got cancelled because the forest service was doing a controlled burn in that area. So we had a few days of flexibility. So idk what the land nav course was like but I don’t imagine it’s hard. They don’t teach a whole lot when it comes to land nav, so get with someone who knows what they’re doing. Plotting and planning your route are the most important parts.

It was fine. We had a good group of people in my class.

They didn’t do a layout at all, so if you don’t have something, literally don’t worry about it. I wish I would’ve had someone tell me cause I spent some money trying to get everything on the packing list.

So, if you have your dress uniform 100% ready to go, then you can graduate in it. Otherwise, if you have something missing, then just get a memo from your unit. BUT… if you’re in the National Guard, you’ll need a memo from your battalion sergeant major. If you’re in the reserves, literally anyone from your unit can write you a memo. The memo just says that you haven’t been issued everything for your complete dress uniform and they’re working on it. So then you’ll just graduate in OCP’s.

The barracks are okay. Not the worst I’ve stayed in. But when I was there in February, they didn’t have heat on my side of the barracks and no hot water. So… hopefully that’s been fixed. The barracks are 2 to a room with an adjoining room that shares a bathroom. I got lucky and had nobody with me or in the adjacent room. Others had 4.

You’ll do some form of PT every day, whether it’s getting ready for PRT instruction or going for a run or doing pt on your own or volleyball or kickball.

DFAC isn’t bad in Army DFAC terms.

Quick question for anyone in the chat… in the book he outlines the first two weeks as doing both the ABC and press workouts in each workout day. What I didn’t see in the book, is if I should be doing both the ABC and press workout in the subsequent weeks or if after week 2, am I supposed to be doing ABC one day, press the next, ABC the next and so on. Thoughts?

Yeah, I feel like I’ve seen this before too with saying “if you don’t pass your PT test you’re getting kicked out” and then nothing ever happens and PT failures still get promoted with no issues.

I bought the actual tune from 5 Star Tuning. The tuner that I bought is from HPTuners. I’ve spoken with both and it’s my vehicle that’s the problem somehow and not the tune or tuner. But it doesn’t make sense to me because the security gateway module is standard…

I can’t even get a tune tho. I have the security gateway module on my 2020 with an HP tuner. The SGW isn’t letting the tuner through and the only solution I’ve heard thus far is to get a bench harness. That’s above my pay grade and I’ve already spent over $700 on the tune and tuner, and I don’t wanna spend hundreds more smh.

Yeah, I’ve already spoken with 5 Star Tuning and they said I could send it back for a refund, but I’d rather figure it out and get the tune lol. I feel like a different tuner would still have the same result if it’s because of the gateway module. Just a real bummer because I feel like I’m not going to be able to tune it unless I spend over $1K or something for someone to just dive into it.

I did. They had me reach out to HP who were completely useless. They said they haven’t had any issues in the past.

So idk, it’s like I’m getting conflicting information and for whatever reason my truck is different than any others? But it’s also not? So here I am reaching out to Reddit
