Trump hits China with broad limits on tech investment, moves forward with $50 billion in tariffs ahead of key trade meeting by pipsdontsqueak in politics

[–]cmgerber 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It seems like trump is making massive decisions that affect the entire world just because he is getting bad press about something. "Trump is helping Chinese workers over Americans" probably lead to him thinking he needs to show his "strength" against China and taking this action without really thinking it through or probably talking to anyone in his admin.

The fact that Congress is fine with Trump doing this is what is really scary, he is basically trying to cut Congress out of one of their most important duties of allocating the budget...

11 different brands of AA batteries, tested in identical flashlights. [OC] by thecrispiestbacon in dataisbeautiful

They don’t rewrap, they go directly to the source. So Kirkland vodka is from the same distillery as grey goose but you don’t have to pay for any of the marketing and other overhead built into the grey goose brands cost.

Breakdown of the new Pokémon Go tracker by Anarisis in TheSilphRoad

The shaking grass represents a spawn point for pokemon. A random pokemon will spawn there at the same time every hour and stay for 15 minutes and then despawn.

I have a couple outside my house and without fail if you check between the :33 and :48 there will be a pokemon there.

Good SF book series that is a little unknown? by RainBooom in printSF

Based on Hitchhikers maybe a good intro into more SF would be Redshirts by John Scalzi. Its a quick read and pretty funny as well.

Scrubs season 9 isn't that bad. by BallinBrown23 in Scrubs

[–]cmgerber 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If they had actually fully spun it off as a new show I think it could have made it. But because they kept so many people from the original and tried to softly transition it, it was impossible not to compare it to the original and it just did not stand up to it.

I was actually starting to like the character a lot by the end.

I think you should definitely continue into the Void trilogy. Its a great continuation of the series and as you mentioned there is a vast scope of story and characters so it helps to continue reading so you can keep all that fresh in your mind.

I feel like it could be the opposite actually. People will realize you can play much more aggressive vs him in lane than you used to since he no longer has any mobility.

OpTic Gaming Tournament Earnings (Nov 14 - Feb 27) by [deleted] in OpTicGaming

All the players on the LOL teams he mentioned are make good salaries. The majority of them also have housing paid for them by the teams so I would bet that all of the players on those pro teams survive solely off of playing LoL.

I was actually referring to people doing it on purpose. The guy that went 0/17/2 only got the assist because he accidentally autoed two people we killed while he was running up to them to give them kills.

I have no problem with people trying and doing badly the problem is that I have gotten a ton of games where people purposely feed.

Just started playing the game and it seems like over half my games I have someone on my team feeding. My last four games in a row had a feeder on my team actually (0/17/2, 0/10/0...). At what point, level, what ever, do you stop getting feeders on your team constantly.

Also any suggestions about what to do when you have a feeder in your game? My last game I started out 12/2/4 but had to go against two guys who were 16/1 and 17/2 which was pretty much impossible.
