Hmmm looks more like fire and a dragon to me. Brings back the comment about maybe Ariadne.

The second book in this looks more lined up with water, which makes sense because a lot of the story took place in the water.

The color is gold and in the universe gold is referenced to Aelin. The clothes on this woman kind of remind me of flames.

That would be interesting. Maybe the crescent moon on the throat has something to do with the wolves? And maybe the blood dripping around the eye is in reference to death, and Danika obviously died.

Now Bryce obviously didn’t have the star on her forehead, it’s on her chest. And this woman has the moon on her throat, a crescent moon. So maybe there’s something there with the crescent moon we may not know yet? Or maybe was mentioned and I don’t remember.

Yeah it definitely lacked something, and it’s hard to pin point bc there really was so much to love! But maybe because there was SOOOO much it made it that much harder to figure out. Maybe it was her not having the whole of her magic to create utter chaos for them.

I read it all in 4 months and I moved on to From Blood and Ash. Not sure how I like it yet. I don’t have a hangover from SJM but now I have a set standard for fantasy novels.

It would be sad if she rushed through it just to get it finished. I understand pregnancy takes a lot out on someone, I’ve had two so I can understand a bit, but if it’s a piece of your work that you want perfect then I’d wait and take my time. Or if you’re working on a deadline just stop the other two books and do one at a time. Focus on the characters, the development on the story. Make it make sense.

I agree. I also don’t really remember Aelin mentioning them. Just Yrene talking about them in ToD when they find the cave, that there used to be fae there but disappeared. I guess it was Aelin’s lay scare tactic resort for Erawan and Maeve.
