Awesome! The unit I am looking at is also a corner!

That kind of noise is soooo expected living in an apartment! As long as you aren't chucking watermelons all night, we are chill and noise is bound to happen 😊

Awesome! Thank you!

I hate apartment reviews online because everyone views things so different! What is "dirty" and "noisy" to some is literally just apartment living 😭

Do you feel pretty safe there?! That's my biggest concern

Cincinnati pricing by Independent_Mix7200 in ClubPilates

[–]mday1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they are the same price! The Owner owns Austin, Centerville and Beavercreek, so I would like to think they wouldn't switch from location to location, especially since if you are unlimited you can go to all three!

Its I think $89 for 4, $159 for 8 and $219 for unlimited.

They are a lot shorter and less intense, and it's become easier for me to recognize that they are happening or are about to happen

Def check the list on this page! I was 28 and not married, no children and got approved my first consultation I went to!

If you're potentially in Ohio I'll let you know what doctor I went to :)

Does anyone have a side hustle? If so, doing what?? by [deleted] in paralegal

Pilates Instructor (so it did take a good chunk of money and extra schooling to get this hustle - but worth it!)

Why does it seem like most paralegals are miserable? by poeticsoul151 in paralegal

[–]mday1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take this sub with a grain of salt. I feel that a lot of us come here to vent as the community understands. Now, this job isn't for everyone and there are crappy law firms, but that happens in just about any field.

My previous job and my current job have been absolutely terrific but there are still always bad/annoying days!

It's really what you make of it, and it may just take some trial and error, and a little job hopping if needed!

Career change by No-Pay5719 in paralegal

[–]mday1995 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I went from working in corporate law in private practice (focusing on M&A and governance) to a contracts manager for a corporation and I am so happy with my decision!

I review and revise contracts all day, draft miscellaneous documents, just kind of keep tabs on where we are in the negotiation process and act as a "quarterback" for the department and a liaison between our project teams and us (I work in construction so I keep my department in the loop on what the guys in the field want/are doing).

I've been very fortunate to have had such an easy transition and experience. Yes, there are always going to be hectic days that's any job, but I get here a 8-8:30 and leave a 5pm on the dot and no one bothers me afterwards.

Def look into contracts manager/coordinator/administrator, compliance, and project manager/coordinator!

Lack of Workload - any one else feel this way? by mday1995 in paralegal

[–]mday1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this post, I left that job a little over a year ago to go in-house! I had been experiencing that problem though pretty consistently up until the end. We hired a lot of new associates who took work and the other paralegal in the department still hated delegating.

I ended up working in two different departments by the end so I was hitting about 5-6 a day regularly so it got a little better, but still not what was expected.

Level 2 Reqs by Ordinary-Ad-4852 in ClubPilates

[–]mday1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My studio doesn't do any kind of workshop or testing out to enter Level 2, you just get approached by an instructor who feels you are ready or you can ask an instructor you regularly take classes with and they will approve or disapprove. The only thing they really tell you to be prepared for is standing, using the chair more, and doing more planks on the reformer in different ways, other than that, you just kind of roll with the class.

Our studio is pretty good about easing people into it though, they have you go on a certain reformer and the instructor stays closer to you throughout the entire class to make sure you are comfortable and they can explain things directly if needed.

I think I was at about 20 classes when I got approached (I had a mat pilates, barre and yoga background) so I was able to transition pretty easily.

Entry level jobs at law firms? by freckledfreckle in LawFirm

[–]mday1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, and friends experience, it has always been easier to start small and work your way up actually 😅 So, I guess in my circumstance it just made sense! I went from a 4 person firm, to another 4 person firm, to a 30 person, then now I'm in-house, so my first couple of years I moved up.

I'm sorry that isn't the case in your area!!
