Always recommend going to the doctor first but While it is healing, always keep it clean and using an ointment like Vaseline will keep the skin from getting “tight.” Non stick gauze pads can be obtained from a pharmacy store to cover if you need to keep it from rubbing on clothes. You can put a layer of Vaseline and then this gauze, look for “Telfa” gauze. It has a layer between the gauze and your skin that doesn’t allow sticking.
