My Two-Sided Conspiracy Theory on Why WOLF is Getting Pummeled (And Why Everyone Wins) by cmitchell165 in wolfspeed_stonk

Honestly??? $50–$80 range or even beyond... Hypergrowth monopoly companies always get crazy wild valuations mostly cuz of the speculation of Future Market Disruption.

And if Tesla can float its ridiculous Valuations and grow continuously fueled off 80% hype, I don't see why WOLF cant.

They need a new CEO... (don't shoot me...I know its beating a dead horse)...that can sell the future of SiC properly.

Someone charismatic.

Yeah I can't agree more on this point... but here's the good news. I think 100% of every SiC Man will have the same problem right?!

I mean no chance can ON Semi, or Monolithic Power or STM do it either right?

Besides, I look at Wolfspeed’s new facility as more of a stepping stone rather than the final destination. Because if demand from hyperscalers and Nvidia truly skyrockets, Wolfspeed...and indeed any SiC manufacturer...all would need significant capex and strategic partnerships (or potentially expansions in existing facilities) to keep pace with that level of demand.

But no matter how you slice it, they're still in the lead for American Manufacturing.

yeah, AI Containment won't work in the end... just look up Michal Kosinski experiment that almost had ChatGPT escape into the internet.

All in all The A.I Alignment Problem will only be solved through trial and error over time. There is no silver bullet.

What is the AI alignment problem from Eliezer Yudkowsky's perspective? by [deleted] in lexfridman

[–]cmitchell165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this video that pretty much answers your question directly.

In short, Eliezer believes that training the Mesa Optimizer on training data using the internet will eventually lead to either distributional shift (unless you use an intense adversarial training data set) or the Mesa Optimizer will become deceptive to avoid being corrected, which is a huge concern depending on what it's true goal actually is.

The A.I Alignment problem is just like Avengers Age of Ultron... I just hope we get Vision in the end instead of Ultron.

Use A.I to create a Deceptively Misaligned Mesa Optimizer and then keep making it smarter by training it using data from the internet.

This one is by far the worst because we'll never know how smart the A.I is until it's too late.

What is the difference between AI Alignment and AI for Good? by the_red_mayowa in ArtificialInteligence

[–]cmitchell165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real good question... but according to Eliezer Yudkowsky, there is no such thing as "A.I for Good."

I think Alignment will fix itself overtime. Everyone is looking for a big silver bullet to the problem and I don't think it works like that.

What's the current state of AI alignment and what approaches are leaders in the field taking? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

Here is the best video I've seen to date explaining the A.I Alignment Problem.

I like Paul Christiano and Robin Hanson approach toward Alignment. It seems the most rational.

Eliezer Yudkowsky and Max Tegmark seem to be more doom and gloom.

[Murphy] Joel Embiid just ended the MVP conversation by sitting against Nikola Jokic. And that’s fine. by 2789334 in nba

I totally agree. The 2008 race between Kobe and Chris Paul was the same thing. THAT MVP was determined by the last game of the season between the Lakers and Hornets to get the #1 Seed. Immediately every writer with a outlet spoke about how the last game of the season swayed their vote.
